  1. I really hope he starts in AA and just dominates for the first couple of months to earn a promotion. Once he makes it to AAA it’ll only be a matter of time before we get to see him with the Twins.
  2. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts in AA for a month or so and then moves up to AAA if he’s doing well. I’d stick him at one position (1st) and let him learn and get as many reps as he can.
  3. As other people have said if they expand the roster size to 26 then they have to limit the number of pitchers allowed. 13 pitcher and 13 hitters otherwise there will be more specialists, more pitching changes, less offense and longer games.
  4. I'll definitely be cheering for the Rams to win it but if I was putting money on it I'd pick the Patriots. Final: Patriots - 27 Rams - 24
  5. Let's hope the Twins team does well enough this season that allows the front office to use some of this depth to improve the major league team.
  6. I just don't see adding a catcher as what's going to get the Twins over the hump. They desperately need to upgrade their pitching staff with another top of the rotation and shutdown bullpen arm before they trade away top rated prospects. unless of course that top rated prospect is going to get you a top of the rotation arm.
  7. I don’t think I’d trade one of the top 3 prospects for another position player. I’d really only be willing to move one of them for a top of the rotation pitcher, which the Twins desperately need.
  8. Once Royce Lewis comes up I'd love to see him and Gordon battle for 2nd. With all of the middle infielders either on the Twins or in the high minors it'll be interesting to see who wins out.
  9. I didn't like this signing right off the bat and I like it even less now that we know the contract amount.....Yuck. Edit: I wonder who the Twins release now?
  10. So, they need two top of the rotation arms now? Since when? You're delusional if you think the TWINS, being the cheap team they are, are going to spend the money to get not 1 but 2 top of the rotation arms. And there is no way Machado is going to get $35 - $40 million a season unless it's a short term deal. If the offer that has been put out is anywhere close that's a $25 million per. There is no way he gets another $10 - $15 million per season added onto his deal.
  11. Can't the Twins add both?
  12. I'd keep Polanco at SS, move Machado to 3rd, move Sano to 1st and leave Schoop at 2nd. Cron can either be a bench bat or released. From what I remember Machado's defense isn't great at SS and would probably be very good at 3rd.
  13. Get it done!!! If they're in the playoff hunt in July they should have a better understanding where the team and the minor leaguers are at and use them to improve the MLB team.
  14. I will be very upset if the Twins go into the season with Duffey and Magill in the bullpen. There are FA's available that can greatly improve the bullpen.
  15. Thank you for sharing this information as it's very informative!
  16. Sano looks great in the photo! Excited to see him in spring training and hopefully this is the first step for him getting back to his 2017 form (Before the injury). I can’t see Kirilloff starting in High A after dominating that league last season. If I remember correctly he played just about the same number of games in A and High A. I’ll be highly disappointed if he doesn’t start the season in AA.
  17. I feel like the Twins should just abandon all of the minor league teams above A ball and just have every top ranked minor leaguer come straight up to the Twins. /Sarcasm
  18. I agree that Gordon should be higher than Cron. The way I look at it is, right now would a team be able to trade C.J. Cron for Gordon? Probably not. Would a team be able to trade Gordon for C.J. Cron? Probably. So I would probably put Gordon higher on the list than Cron.
  19. Moving Romero to the bullpen at the start of the season is such a waste. At least let him start the season in the starting rotation as this will be the first time he's going to be able to repeat a level.
  20. If the Twins want to try and make the playoffs next year there is zero reason to not sign Cruz. He's been a very consistent and dominate hitter for the last how many years? With Cleveland letting players go and also looking to trade away another pitcher the Twins should be playing for the playoffs and Cruz helps them get there. Austin only provides upside against lefty pitchers and isn't good at defense. No reason to keep Austin when you can upgrade with Cruz. Plenty of other similar type players in AA and AAA that could be ready this season as well.
  21. You might want to get your facts straight. He's on the 40 man roster.
  22. I'm not overly excited about the Schoop signing but it's not a bad signing either. If he has a bounce back year at all it could be a very good signing. With both of signings today the Twins are at a full 40 man roster and they clearly need to add at least 1 if not 2 bullpen arms and it would be nice to add a right handed OF. So, who are the DFA candidates when they sign the next player?
  23. I don't understand signing Torres to a major league contract.
  24. I don't think you can just look at last years numbers and say that Cron is going to be better moving forward. Cron also posted a OPS + of 98 the year before.
