    I am too busy lazy to look it up, but I remember Ryan Howard having ugly K rates in the minors (and in the majors as well). But I think his walk rates were a bit better.

    Here's a different option - at one point weren't they talking about Hughes having a bit of a "dead arm"? Maybe put him in the bullpen, for one or two times through the rotation, just to see how everyone shakes out and give Hughes a blow.

    I love Kepler and think he can play fine in the OF, just not sure if his arm is strong enough for RF, at least from what I am hearing. He might be a better fit in LF.

    I like the strategy - they have already indicated they will probably sign fewer draftees than in previous years. Why not take a few fliers and see that happens?

    John Sickels over at minorleageball had his community Four Round mock draft on Sunday – with Sickels handling the Twins draft duties – here are the results 1. Carson Fullmer, RHP, Vanderbilt (Tate went #4 to Texas) 2B. Nicholas Shumpert, SS, Colorado HS (Cody went #60 to Seattle) 3. 4. Austin Allen, C, Florida Tech (Cabbage was selected #63 by Oakland) Ryan Kellogg, LHP, Arizona State University (Degano goes at # 90 to the Brewers) And it appears that both Allen and Bart are still on the board at the end of the 4th round.

    I have a thing that happens a lot. Scrolling down to read comments and then I involuntarily spring back to the top. Seems like it happens when a video ad is around and that invariably ends up at the upper right corner of the screen after the spring back. Happens every 10-20 seconds. It is a pain in the neck but I can deal with it - if you can fix something great, just please don't tell me to change browsers - I hate that answer

    I feel that the manager should be able to use his gut from time to time and go against the book. And I don't care if its the old book or the new book, I prefer a manager who is not slavishly following it.

    Seems to me that they are very different players with very different risk/reward profiles and different paths to improvement. I am very glad to have both of them and also am very glad that they are both much closer to #20 than #1 on our top prospect list.

    Seth - I also had 1B Jack Barrie (AUS) and RHP Moises Gomez (DR) on my list as signed in 2014 - did I put them in the wrong year or (screw up completely)?
