  1. Being of a certain age, sometimes nature gives a call at an ungodly hour- so, says me, just flip on a game feed for a moment- Graham is on the mound, Stauffer is warming up- is this a bad dream, or what? I feel like the girl in Poletegeist, coming home with a neck fulla hickeys, and screaming--- What's Happening?!? WHAT'S HAPPENING?!?
  2. Well, so that happened. Happy for Chris, but.... sheeeeeeeeee-it.
  3. Wow, Buehrle- Hate/love that guy. Always got his hard hat and lunch pail, and works his way through the lineup. I hope he's done after 8! But I kinda doubt it....
  4. Kinda ready for Santana to catch the bus back to NY. Just sayin'- as the kids say these daze. He seems to be really pressing-
  5. Busy doin' stuff this AM, but just tuned into the game, hearing the feed in the background. Wow- there were some loud shots off of Mr. May-- just turned around in time to see that HR clear the fence. Aw, shucks, 4-0 lead... The Jays have a way of making those go away, don't they?
  6. Oh, where did I see that post- last year, I suppose- "infielders in the outfield"... sheesh....
  7. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa................. loving this against one of my big hate-teams!
  8. Damn, Plouffe--- great swing, great job, nothing like a 2-out rbi.
  9. Whoa, game on, eh? Great. Just in time for class. oh, poop.
  10. One please- oh, heck, I'll buy for the whole row.... who wants one?
  11. Had a rain day in HK yesterday- Cancelled school for those who were not already there, which I was. :lol:Just like the white-outs back home, couldn't see across the street. Except this was a wet-out, I guess.
  12. Ah, crapola. Just when I'm signing off on a good note- oh, well. Zzzzzz.....
  13. OK, g'nite all-- my work here is done. Here's hoping Gibby keeps rolling, and the Sox keep that good team/ bad baseball thing going. To all who are at the game today, enjoy! And somebody have an Italian Beef for me.
  14. Oh, the Hawkster is in rare whine-form! What a treat!
  15. Come on, crooked number. I gotta go to sleep happy.
  16. Heh... just like that! Thanks, Bret Eaton Ellis!
  17. Wow, was that a Snapper Mow-em-down Inning?
  18. Sorry, rambling. It's 2.36 AM here, that's my excuse. And it's Buddha's birthday tomorrow, so a public holiday in HK. Ha- no 6AM alarm!
  19. I lived in Chi-town for all of the 90's. The "cell" was new then, and what a stinker of a park. Good grub, but it's Chicago, so it has to be, but.... Sheeeee-it, they blew it on that baby. They removed the top of the upper deck, thankfully, it was vertigo-inducing. And corporate-blue seats, it looked like an outdoor version of the Dome. AND, worst of all- the most beautiful skyline in America, and where is it? BEHIND YOU. You can't see it from the park. Even in the outfield seats, cuz they were blocked by the massive upper deck. After the shine wore off the first year, nobody went there anymore, so anytime the Twinkies came to town, I'd head to my buddy's bar on 34th and Halsted, then to Ugly Comiskey with a load on, sit wherever I wanted, nobody cared, nobody there! Eat some good ballpark chow, and listen to the players chatter throughout the game- Heh, one time, some jagoff was giving it to young Torii Hunter in a non-family-friendly way, and Mr. LaTroy Hawkins poked his head above the dugout. Saw my Twinkie cap and said- who's that with the big mouth back there. I pointed to the culprit, and said, "that fat f*ck in the jacket." He summoned an usher over, and that took care of that. Ahhh, Chi-town in the day. Lived for 9 years about 5 blocks from Wrigley. Dose were da dase, my frient.
  20. Geez, kinda hope that husky dude just ahead doesn't stand up at an inopportune time. Kinda block out the sun, maybe.
  21. That's about the same as a Harry Potter tome, isn't it? In the "ballpark," anyways...
