  1. Hey DanChat- I was just looking something up on milb- and check out the article that popped up--- https://harrisburgsenatorsmlb.wordpress.com/2017/04/19/the-many-legends-of-matt-lecroy/ There's a familiar photo in there, too---
  2. Yeh, it sucks when you walk the guy right in front of the only dangerous hitter in their lineup.
  3. I like that way Santiago has been throwing all season. I like the way he threw when he got in a little hot water last inning. And I like the way he's throwing with a lead. (Ooops, and as I was typing that.....) I ragged on him last year, too, and lamented that trade- but he's really stepped up so far this year. The way Gibby was working down in FL, it seemed like he was ready to step up, too, and what a nice staff we'd have had then.
  4. What, he's shopping online during the game?
  5. Which Paris? Texas? Tennessee? Or that other one?
  6. Plouffe with a productive out(s).
  7. And while we're on the subject-- Mauer "protecting" Sano... Castro STILL in the 6 hole.... Molly, fer cryin' out loud...... This team ain't goin to the promised land with that particular HOF'er in the dugout.
  8. Tony O used to deal out Louisville Souvenirs fairly regularly.
  9. Geez, even Joe got one--- Yikes, this game. Valdez..... whew.... Thanks, man.
  10. Was that Bartman who caught Bux's homer?
  11. I, for one, am grateful. I think Molly means, 'we're not bringing him up until I'm no longer the manager. That way I can't jerk him around like I did with that Meyer fella, or that May fella.'
  12. I worked for the North Stars that last year, up in the suites. The coolest part was on game days, or event days, we could go down onto the Met Center ice and play pick-up games at noon time. It was a gas seeing Bobby Clarke roaming around on occasion, too. He was generally a cool guy, especially when I told him I'd seen him play for the Flin Flon Bombers one time, way back in the day. The bad part was, well.... Norm.
  13. I am sickened by this, and just wish I were surprised as well. I read up on the Boston Globe reporting on this until I ran into their paywall-- and have to echo the words of a NAACP official, whose quote in effect was- this is something deeper. Not only did the people in question feel they had the right to use racially offensive language, but they felt safe in doing so, in the company of their peers. They felt safe enough, that nobody would rat them out to security, and that their comments would be generally acceptable to those around them. There was a further observation on the Mayor's comment that "we're better than this," sounding more like an appeal than a statement of fact. That kind of behavior goes well beyond a couple of drunk dudes spouting off. But, I guess, according to some, we've had a black President by now, so we don't have to worry about those kinds of things anymore. Sickened. Disgusted. But not surprised.
  14. Yeh, I get that. I think, though, that Mejia could pitch his way back up here sooner than later, especially if Gibby continues in (sadly), what's become his usual mode. By that time, JB may well have had a few starts in #5 position, and let's hope he can maintain it this time.
  15. Heh....I do, but it seems kind of moot when then answer to that question is "all of 'em."
  16. Wow, good on ya, boys! Now, with our shut-down bullpen....
  17. Oh, my and Joe, too? I'm gonna volunteer to go to the beach every day if this keeps up. ...Or the dentist...
  18. Wow, I'm nowhere near to where i can see that, and grateful. But, gameday seems to say Miggy did something...good, if not freat?
  19. Well, it's Saturday morning 10 AM over here, and I had to visit the dentist down in sunny Repulse Bay for a new crown. Now I've got cotton in my mouth while it sets, and I'm just sufferin', sufferin'. What to do, but follow the TD thread, and try not to drool while the HS girls beach volleyball tournament plays out on the sand just opposite. Go Twinkies, tho, eh? Drat, mobile version won't let me attach any photo... Oh, well, use your imagination.
  20. Ahhh, Gibby. Just checked in before aettling into the dentist's chair... Thx, mate, for helping take my mind off the coming trauma.
  21. Oh, Lord!! I had to come back-- I've survived long enough to turn 59 this summer, and I had Jarts, a wood-burning set, AND those creepy chemical-creatures. Trifecta of childhood doom? HA! We also had the "Incredible Edibles"- the creepy crawling things made with chemical goop-(wait for it) that you could EAT! Somehow, I'm still here. Did I win?
