  1. How did you type your first sentence, then the 2nd sentence? And not make the connection? That is literally the argument. He refused to play 2B after 1 game then went on record about that experience. He's young and inexperienced enough to contribute wherever the opportunity is on the field.
  2. It does make sense if you want to keep the human element in the game, which I do. It creates buzz to talk about and that's sports in a nutshell... entertainment.
  3. We're on opposite sides of the spectrum here. I love the new strategy it brings to the game. The NFL has made billions on subjective ref calls and 2 challenges per game. Umpires already get 90% of the calls correct in a typical game. This gives teams a chance to influence the 10% of questionable calls.
  4. Imagine the sample size if he was called up in August. Could be close to double the number of appearances. Instead of giving it to the worst pitcher in 120 years Noah Davis.
  5. For 1 game Doc. What would you say if Kody Clemens publicly said he doesn't want to blow a game playing 2B for the team? Or Brooks Lee. Hell, even Ryan Fitzgerald. You'd hope they are a team player right?
  6. A crazy thought is he plays where the team needs him the most at that time. It's not like it was a permanent move to 2B. They just needed someone better than Julien at 2B.
  7. When did we ever have really good second basemen - plenty according to him - in recent years? Also, let's call a spade a spade. He refused to play an IF position during a time when the team really needed someone to play over there to try and save the season.
  8. My No Brainers are Jeffers, Ryan, Sands, and Lewis. We're not going to give up on Lewis at this stage in his career. On the bubble: Ober - Completely dependent on if they think a procedure or simply rest will help him gain back the 2-3 MPH in velocity he lost this year. If he can't get back to 92-93 MPH then he's not worth $6-7 million. Non-tenders: Hatch, Tonkin, Misiewicz, Larnach
  9. Way to end on a high note! He's certainly in the mix for back half of the rotation in 2026.
  10. 2 option years remaining. He made $2 million this year and will likely sign for a similar number for 2026. Controllable through 2027. We have nothing to lose claiming him in case if his arm isn't broken beyond repair. Without knowing his medical records I say do it.
  11. Someone the Twins should claim in the off chance he's not cooked. Fits the budget $2 million, controllable through 2027, with 2 option years remaining.
  12. I knew my Twins hot takes over the years was going to prevent me from elevating to the great beyond.
  13. There’s still time to correct a mistake
  14. Cleveland takes the lead on the Detroit Kitties bottom 6 3-2
  15. Catch me up. Have I missed Kershaw’s last regular season start of his career? Is he going to be on their playoff roster?
  16. Now that ABS challenge is implemented for 2026 what are your thoughts? I like the new strategy it brings to the game. Do you take your challenge early in the game? Wait until the later innings? I imagine every team is going to treat it differently. Will be interesting to see the results
  17. Even though this season has been painful from opening day, it's still sad when the season comes to an end.
  18. Robo umps are here and will be fully implemented in 2026
  19. The only way Jenkins makes the opening day lineup is if an extension is agreed to. Otherwise he’ll be up the same day he gains another year of control in early May. Agreed on Prielipp. I was hoping he was going to be one of our call ups this year so we would have an answer in the bullpen for 2026.
  20. Giants already in desperation mode to save their jobs.
  21. I would put the percent chance at 99% that Joe Ryan demands a trade out of here this winter. It's abundantly clear he is unhappy and doesn't want to waste his prime years on a bottom feeding team like the Twins. There will be plenty of interested teams besides Boston
  22. I don’t see much of a difference being the worst team in the league and the 4th worst team in the league like we currently are.
  23. I'll give you that. The playcalling was better yesterday for sure. I hope McCarthy was taking notes to get rid of the ball quickly like Wentz was doing. Plus his athleticism is going to be light years better than Wentz after multiple knee surgeries. For now I am in no rush to bring back JJ. Mackey said this on their Purple Daily Vent Line yesterday and I agree completely. The blueprint for the 2025 Vikings winning games is this, in this order: Suffocating defense, effective running game, passing as a compliment
