    I’ve got nothing when it comes to young relievers. They should be up here now. As far as Walker Jenkins/E-Rod/Culpepper are concerned, it’s absolutely about service time. I don’t know when the exact date is, usually late April, they can get called up and have their 7th year of control secured.

    For those unfamiliar, Williams Arena is called The Barn for a reason. A no frills former Field house that's coming up on its 100 year anniversary since it was built.

    The greater MN market has proven they'll support a winner no matter the sport. We're so starved for championships and only women's basketball and hockey has been able to deliver. The Minnesota Women's Gophers basketball team made it to the sweet 16, and they packed Williams Arena more than the mens team has in years. 11k+ attendance (12k ish capacity) in their 2 NCAA tournament games.

    I'm a sucker for opening day so they got me hook, line, and sinker today. By May 1st, I really can't imagine this current team keeping my interest. It's the first time in many years I went into opening day cold without watching a single second of spring training ball.

    Well, Derek Falvey is gone too... But that's what I was setting up by asking the question. If Jeremy Zoll is now influencing late game decisions based on L/R matchups on the spreadsheet, we are doomed as an organization. Zoll is bottom 5 in qualifications for the role he's currently in. Shelton is just happy to have a manager job at this stage of his career. Yikes.

    What I really want to know is who decided to pinch hit Trevor Larnach in the 9th inning for Royce Lewis? Are we still being ruled by a spreadsheet created by Derek Falvey?

    I remember right when Shelton was hired he said the first person he went to visit was Royce Lewis. Pumping his tires that he’s one of the most important players in the organization… You don’t bat one of your most important players 8th in the lineup no matter how poor he looked in spring training. You put him top 6 at minimum and give him confidence that he’ll break out when the games matter.

    The tone has been set for 2026 - batting 8th on opening day and pinch hit for Larnach with the game on the line. Not encouraging
