  1. There were 2 guarantees in the late 90's/early 2000's when I got home from school. 1. I was making a snack of some sort. 2. The TV would be changed to TRL on MTV.
  2. Ugh. The worst choice of them all.
  3. He had a run there in the early 2000's with very funny movies. I'm not sure if they hold up now that I'm older, but at the time I was laughing.
  4. If the Tragically Hip are Canada's Rock Band, who is Canada's Most Famous? Ryan Gosling?
  5. We all know you've had Bieber Fever for a long time now...
  6. Well that's just like, your opinion, man. Maybe I like The Band! Or Avril Lavigne.
  7. Bryan Adams would like a word with you about this "Canada's Rock Band" business.
  8. That's the thing. Hughes is out of the picture in my mind for making any sort of contribution next season. If he pitches at all that's gravy. Gibson you would think bounces back from this off-year, but you never know. That makes me cringe knowing that only Erv can be counted on, and all that's left is 8 question marks.
  9. Maybe so. I'm sure over the winter Nick will write more articles about potential landing places and young arms to target once we get into the off-season. If Dozier can't help shore up the pitching staff, I cringe thinking about 2017's rotation.
  10. I would not have accepted that return for Dozier. I'm seeking quality, not quantity, in a potential Dozier trade.
  11. They traded 3 pitchers from their farm to acquire 2 rental players this July... We can go back and forth speculating which teams value Dozier and which do not. You say a lot of teams are set at 2B, and I said before we don't know which under the radar team could think of Dozier as a big upgrade to their lineup. We won't know for sure until we try this winter.
  12. The Dodgers came to my mind too as a potential fit. Kendrick isn't lighting the world up with his bat, and they could view Dozier as a big upgrade to their lineup. As we know they're also a team that's not afraid to take on salary if it helps their team. As far as others, who knows. The picture is too fuzzy at the moment to know for sure. There may be teams off our radar who feel Dozier is an upgrade to their current 2B.
  13. Agreed. Just wanted to hear the other side of the discussion from others who feel they should trade prospects for pitching instead of Dozier for pitching. For the record I'm 100% bought in on trading Dozier for pitching.
  14. Do you believe the Twins will offer Dozier $15-20 million a year at age 31 when he hits free agency? Are you comfortable offering Buxton + 1 or 2 of the guys in AA such as Gonsalves, Jay to make the prospect trade happen?
  15. You have a believer in me, Nick. I'm seeing dollar signs the longer Dozier stays on fire at the plate. Keep it up Dozier!
  16. So if this is the direction the team goes, which very well could be, why on earth would Molitor want to remain the manager? After just turning 60 and only 1 year on his contract, this job is probably not a long term play for him. It will be interesting once this disaster of a season is over if Molitor just says I'm done. Back to pitching, there's so many question marks with the established players (Hughes, Perkins, May) on the roster... It's going to be very risky to trust the young prospects like Gonsalves to not regress in 2017. We've been down this path the last 2 seasons with Burdi, Chargois, and all of the other RP prospects. Long story short, if they stay at status quo and wait another 1-2 years for the prospects, we could chalk up another year of the worst ERA in the game.
  17. Unfortunately we're coming up a little short in the position player prospect category to acquire a difference making ace type pitcher. Unless Buxton is our version of Wil Myers for somebody else's James Shields.
  18. Also, ask around for the best breakfast tacos to find. The best places have homemade tortillas. Good luck eating just one taco.
  19. You can't go wrong with most BBQ places here unless you go with a chain.. and really, what are you doing in Texas if you're going to a Famous Daves?
  20. If that is waiting for me at the Pub Crawl, I will book my flight tonight!
  21. Yeah in downtown Dallas. After that he could go check out the grassy knoll!
  22. All of this hype that Light is a high 90s can touch 100 kind of guy... all we saw was 93-95. Still a good inning.
  23. Breaking: NASA exploring for new headquarters location. Sees Minneapolis as a great fit!
