    As a backend #5 pitcher, maybe? He wouldn't be any contending team's #3 pitcher like he's scheduled to be here.

    That's basically what Ober did last year, and I guess he made it work? To the tune of a 5 ERA. The Twins might as well play it out until the trade deadline to see if there's any improvement. But with each ST start, I am losing hope of finding the old Bailey Ober from 2023 and 2024.

    I thought the tanking last year was pretty bad for NFL standards. This year will be even worse. Damn near approaching NBA levels of tanking.

    The Dolphins learned their lesson last time when tanking for Tua. They had just a little too much talent.

    Luis Ortiz was a likely mid-rotation SP for them, and Clase was one of the top relievers in the game. Bizarre they weren't included in the article. If 76 is the over/under, I'm betting the over on Cleveland. They are the cobbler organization that finds a way to make it work. They've already accomplished step 1 having a star player on their roster.

    On this day 6 years ago in 2020, Stefon Diggs was traded to the Bills. On this same day, the Vikings extended Kirk Cousins for the first of way too many "extensions" until 2024.

    Mick Abel has nothing to learn in AAA and his arm is ramped up. Zebby Matthews' stuff and velocity is down across the board. He has something to figure out in AAA to start the year.

    The 1st wave of FA came and went in a flash. As far as 2nd wave, I could see the Vikes signing a veteran WR to compete with Felton for WR 3, swing tackle/guard, and a run stuffing DT.

    I want the Iowa C Logan Jones. But evidently there are more than 5 quality centers that will be drafted in the mid rounds this draft. The only negative I see about Jones as a draft prospect is he's 25 years old, but I view that as a positive for the OL. He has a ton of starting experience in a pro-style Iowa offense.

    If the Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman is still on the board I'm running to the podium to draft him. Really good athlete that can play at the LOS like vintage Harry the Hitman.

    In fairness, I would also ignore 75% of things Kris Attebury says during the game. It's a shame that we have a bottom feeding radio team. More times than I can count I'm just tuning in to the game on a drive, or out on a walk with my dog. And I have to end up googling the box score to find out what's actually happening.

    I would have lost the bet 5 years ago that he wasn't going to last in the NFL past 5 years. Incredibly underrated career from a 1st round draft bust.

    Really high entertainment potential for NFL fans... New recognizable QB, HC on the ropes, old veteran team with lots of stories I'm sure. I could see it happening.

    Considering the Vikings have never been on Hard Knocks before... This feels like the year we will do it, right?

    I'm pretty optimistic actually. We did just win 9 games with the worst QB play in the league. All Kyler needs to do is be league average or better and there's a good chance we're winning 10+ games in 2026. I was a lot more pessimistic about the Vikings if we were rolling with a QB room similar to McCarthy - Wentz - Brosmer like last season.

    It's happening whether we like it or not. Once he signs, the clock starts to figure out a trade for McCarthy. Him rotting on the bench for most of 2026 is going to destroy his trade value. So let's get a mid round pick and move on.

    Probably the first prospect called up in mid-April when enough service time days are accounted for to get the 7th year of control.

    Both insiders have carried the water for any agent/owner just to put their name with the other on a breaking news tweet. Minnesota's own Tom Pelissero is just as complicit too. Now that I've thought about it, Tom P is an NFL Network guy too so I assume he's a future ESPN employee too? It'll be a big 3 of breaking news guys.

    Wallner is one of the very few power threats the Twins have. So I am a little more patient with him because of that lone fact. Defensively, an OF of Larnach - Buxton - Wallner in 2026 is going to stink. Bottom 5 in baseball frankly. We will find out quickly this year if Wallner figures it out, or goes full Miguel Sano striking out way too much and batting below the Uecker level.
