  1. Next, bring up Tyler Jay if he kicks butt at Fort Myers and Chattanooga.
  2. The joke was on me. I didn't realize a FIP of 1.48 was absurdly low, so my knowledge of FIP was also absurdly low.
  3. With 43 strikeouts, 5 walks and 15 hits allowed in 34 innings, FIP must be an acronym for Fantastically Irrelevant Pitching metric.... (or F-cking Insignificant Pitching metric)
  4. Look at Trevor Hildenberger's (Cedar Rapids) stats & explain to me "WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO AROUND HERE TO GET A STINKIN' PROMOTION???" 0.52ERA 34.1INNINGS 15 HITS 5BB 43K 7SVO 7SV
  5. I know I am getting old, but THAT KID (Doe) looks 12-years-old!
  6. Eddie Gaedel played in MLB, but was only drafted by Barnham & Bailey.
  7. "Twins could do a lot worse than high school outfielder Kyle Tucker"....What a RINGING ENDORSEMENT!!! That sounds like a mother-in-law talking about her son-in-law. "My daughter could have done worse". (if she had married a serial killer)
  8. Buxton is on pace to hit 36 triples if he gets Granderson's # of AB's. So Buxton's triple frequency is 57% higher than the MLB millennium leader in triples per season....Unbelievable!
  9. "3B: Byron Buxton (11), Max Murphy/Tanner English (5)... 11 Triples in 209 AB's is amazing!
  10. Mike Piazza, Dodgers, 1988 62nd round, 1,390th pick overall bWAR: 59.4
  11. Don't draft Ferris Bueller! He takes days off.
  12. "It's alright, Grace, it's Walker Bueller the little twerp. I'm gonna set a trap and let him fall right in it"
  13. "Morneau hears from Mauer after concussion"...After a concussion, you may hear the voices of many imaginary friends.
  14. I am saying that the Twins should keep Meyer as a regular starter, keeping giving him as many innings as possible. If he still has control issues at the age of 30, move him to the bullpen and reduce his repertoire to 1-2 of his best pitches. If he can't control a one-pitch repertoire, he needs to start bagging groceries at the market.
  15. "I don't see how that would be good. Walks aren't good out of the bullpen either" The advantage is that a relief pitcher does not need to control three pitches. One (see Mariano Rivera) or two pitches is sufficient for a one or two inning reliever.

  17. "inevitable slide into confusion and ineptitude as his motivation and enthusiasm wanes. (there;s a bunch of 3-4 syllable words for you"....That slide may have been inevitable for you, but it is avoidable for the rest of us.
  18. "That doesn't make a 25 year old not young"....Yes it does! Two kids and a mortgage can age you fast!
  19. "Twins GM watches Lookouts win second straight), but it is a rather bland interview"...A BLAND interview with Terry Ryan. Who saw THAT coming?
