  1. Striking out is a good way to break up the double play!
  2. "What Happened To Oswaldo Arcia?" To paraphrase comedian Ron White: "You can't fix a bad haircut!"
  3. If Suzuki is let go, who would be the catcher? It would be a difficult choice between playing Hermann or just let the pitches roll to the backstop.
  4. What is the backstory on Christian Cavaness of the GCL Twins? He was NOT drafted, but was signed by the Twins after the draft. He has started out with a (small sample) OPS of 1.200. Is he a prospect? Is he a player? Is he a JAG? (just a guy)
  5. "Why Weren't The Twins Pitchers More Aggressive?" When an army is out-gunned, aggressiveness can lead to defeat, disaster and annihilation. Pitchers are similar. When you don't have enough stuff, you don't attack!
  6. Hildenberger's numbers are almost ridiculous. If you had chosen anyone else, this post would have certainly violated some length restrictions. You have done an excellent job..........almost as good as Hildenberger!
  7. In two years, someone will mention Hu, and you cynics will all say "Who?"
  8. No, Who (Hu) is one of these minor leaguers. The other is Tapioca, and insiders tell me he is soft.
  9. If the alternative is two more Ricky Nolasco signings; I favor the "same ole Twins cheap, cheap, cheap". Trades and signings don't always make you better!
  10. Adam Brett Walker now has 82 RBI n 92 games. If his team actually played a 162-game-schedule, he would be on pace for 144 RBI. And Trevor Hildenberger got promoted from Cedar Rapids to Fort Myers!' WELL DESERVED!!!!!!!
  11. And Trevor Hildenberger got promoted from Cedar Rapids to Fort Myers!' WELL DESERVED!!!!!!!
  12. Adam Brett Walker now has 82 RBI n 92 games. If his team actually played a 162-game-schedule, he would be on pace for 144 RBI.
  13. I agree, but if the "no room at Fort Myers" argument is stopping THAT promotion, I would prefer a double-jump to NO promotion at all which is a definite motivation-kiler!
  14. IMO Hildenberger's performance numbers warrants consideration for a possible double-jump to Chattanooga where he can replace Jones and Burdi
  15. I apologize for repeating myself, but what does Trevor Hildenberger have to do to get promoted from the Cedar Rapids Kernels? 0.80 ERA; 14SV/15SVO; 45IP,24H,59K,5BB (almost 12:1 K/BB ratio); .153BAA; 0.64 WHIP (are you kidding?)
  16. From then on, you will totally lose your sense of smell. Taste, sight and hearing will soon follow.
  17. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draftdb/index.php
  18. It is your (the pitcher's) choice, but Dozier is now a .260 hitter. Pitch him low and away ALWAYS, and you may make him a .300 hitter with fewer HR's.
  19. If a batter KNOWS every pitch will be in the same location, that pitcher has no chance. You cannot stop a hitter from diving on an outside pitch, if you NEVER jam him.
  20. You did fine. Maybe if Dozier would candidly answer your questions about: 1) Why he doesn't get surprised by THAT PITCH! (high, inside fastball), unlike most other hitters...How does he mentally prepare? 2) How he can hit THAT PITCH and still have his hands ready for low and away. 3) Are any of his swing mechanics different from other hitters, enabling him to do what is so difficult for those other hitters? If Dozier won't properly explain, you are limited in your analysis to what he WILL discuss.
  21. That's a pretty defensive (snarky) response to a legitimate comment. How's THAT?
  22. Ervin Santana throws a slider that is one of the most devastating strike-out pitches in MLB. The Twins have no other pitcher with a comparable strikeout pitch. If you saw him pitch last season and this spring (after he started using all his pitches), you shouldn't be suggesting that any pitcher in the current rotation should keep their spot ahead of him. If you know anyone who has faced Ervin Santana's 2014-2015 slider, ask them what they think of it.
  23. Tell Gladden that unlike when he played, now people have indoor toilets and blocking the plate is illegal, no matter how you slide.
  24. That bleep happens when you run 40 mph and then stop suddenly.
