    This happened a few times last year with KC. Disappointing that it's always handled the same way. BP is rested thanks to gib and rick. I leave KC in if those two starts didn't happen.

    Pinto homer is pretty cool. I think we have found a guy who can catch 75 games a year and DH a bunch more. Just need to find the catching partner for him long term. I think Arcia is DH when he is catching and in the OF when pinto isn't catching.

    Hicks hasn't been that bad IMO. Would be nice to give him a day off vs a RHP twice a month though.

    That's the **** that bothers me. I don't need or think Mauer has to hit 30 bombs or "like a 1b" but he needs to drive that run in! Unacceptable.

    Gladden just said flo is one of those guys that handles the bat pretty well although he is 0-9 and 2-28. I don't know what "handles the bat well" means anymore.

    I missed his 2nd start, but first start he seemed jittery, working out of tough spots though. Seemed more like luck rather than great pitches. I remain optimistic that he could be a #3. Currently I'd call him an average 5 though.

    I think with the way out AAA rotation is pitching, we have some depth if an injury occurs and we don't have deduno to fill in anymore. (If he's claimed)

    A) If we can gain some service time or something by keeping Arcia in AAA then I'll be okay with that until other OF start to struggle. I would rather have Florimon here to come in for Nunez in the 7+ inning to play GG defense at SS for Nunez, instead of Escobar. I'm very confident that Florimon can play adequate defense at 3B and 2B if needed also. C) I would like to see Hermy stick for the simple fact that Gardy will use Pinto in more ways if he is around. Even if Pinto isn't DH with Kubes, Bello, Willy rotating there, he can get an at-bat per game when he is not catching as a PH, which I think matters. D) I would like to see us claim Fuld. Strong defense for all 3 spots. Good speed. Decent pop. Would rather have him than Mastro. E) I think I would rather have Tonkin than Deduno in the pen. I'd like to push Swarzak back into LR. If deduno clears, send him to rotation in AAA. In conclusion. -Bartlett cut/AAA -Arcia sent down -Willingham up for deduno -Fuld claimed and Mastro sent down -Escobar down and possibly out for Nunez Lineup: 2b Dozier 1b Mauer Of Willingham Of Kubel 3b Plouffe DH bello C Suzuki Cf hicks SS Nunez Bench: Pinto c/dh Fuld of Florimon IF Hermy c/of

    Yes, I'm saying they will designate him for assignment whenever that time comes. No way he should be up at the expense of never being able to let Pinto DH

    Interesting question... Especially since bello, Kubel and pinto to an extent are hitting cover off... Here is what I figure. -Bartlett optioned to AAA. -Tonkin optioned for Arcia. (Even though I secretly want it to be a different reliever.) -Willingham for Mastroianni (I think hicks should get an off day in CF tomorrow or sometime against a RHP before this happens though) -also have to wonder when Nunez is up and either Pedro or Escobar is optioned...

    For the record, I don't think Bert gives a damn about his job anymore. (As in doesn't care if they fire him.) He doesn't need the job anymore to help get him into the HOF. He might even start cussing on air again!

    Agreed, Pelf is a full year recovered now, but wait until he is 2 full years recovered. I'm salivating over how healthy his elbow will be for 2015.

    Alright fellas, it's time to discuss the date we have all been waiting for. It's pretty obvious this team is going to struggle this year, again. I'm not sure how he can survive another round of cuts while losing 90+ games. I can't really blame him, because A) Our top two prospects that WILL turn this franchise around, have injuries that have postponed any chance of them being here this year and probably pushed them out of contention for opening day 2015. The pitchers we snagged this off-season are doing a terrible job so far and C)TR didn't really give him any help offensively, the one guy he did give him was one he already had and they let him go. So here it is. I will donate one pint of blood to whoever accurately predicts Gardy's axe date. Here is mine: September 5th

    Why sign him? It will give us a couple more wins and be more fun to watch. Not worth the money or the draft pick after watching this team for a couple weeks. If we are signing him for a few years, I may reconsider my opinion.
