Interesting. I would think Hendriks would have a shot at opening day rotation if Baker doesnt recover in time...could end up being a tricky situation if that's the route they go and then Hendriks were to get hurt.

We need a couple power arms in our rotation to be able to beat teams like the Yankees in the postseason. I'm sorry, but you can only have so many pitch to contact guys in your rotation against those guys. The Twins have been awfully unlucky at times against the Yankees in the postseason, but that is what happens when you rely on batted balls for 90% of your outs. The last time we had the Yankees on the ropes was when we could throw Santana at them twice in a series. Sure, guys have put together 4-5 decent innings against the Yankees a couple years back, but eventually LUCK runs out.

Parker, do you know what the hell you are talking about? Sorry, I just had to ask. I watched your clip, and for a high school kid he has a very smooth delivery. It appears to me that he strides out well and has a very fluid delivery, which makes he think he is getting his power from his legs.

Lineup: CF Span SS Carrol C Mauer 1B Morneau RF Willingham DH Doumitt 3B Valencia 2B Casilla LF Revere Bench: UTIL: Plouffe UTIL: Nishioka UTIL: Hughes C: Butera IF: Burroughs Starting Rotation: 1: Pavano 2: Baker 3: Liriano 4: Blackburn 5: Marquis Bullpen: CL: Capps SU: Perkins LH: Duensing RH: Burnett RH: Manship RH: Swarzak RH: Doyle Exciting. Would like to see a power arm( Guerra, Oliveros, etc.) make the bullpen out of camp, but unlikely til an injury occurs. Also, would like to see Hendriks break into that rotation by June. I think if we are 10 + games out in June, we will see Hendriks, Parmalee, Benson, Guerra all in Minneapolis for the remainder of the season.

Part of me thinks he will bounce back and have a very nice season and then there is the other part of me... This may turn out to be the worst off-season move. I'm not sure which side to really go with, just hoping he is above average considering he is going to make 5 big ones.
