    I've been a Twins fan since the mid-60s. For me this is the most unsettling and unpredictable off-season ever. The team is a mess and I have no idea know how the whiz kids are going to fix it (Sano and Buxton coming around would certainly help, but that's on them, not the front office). It will be fascinating to see how it all plays out.

    Leaning toward trade if we can get a closer (Hildenberger ain't it IMHO) or a reasonably decent number 3/4 starter.

    Austin really does have a nice swing and he smokes the ball on those sadly somewhat infrequent occasions when he actually hits it.

    Fields is on a roll. His BA with the Twins is now over .100.

    Royals and ChiSox have had decent second halves this year with young teams. Without some big changes the Twins will be lucky to beat out the Tigers for fourth next year.

    Here's something totally off topic, but do you old timers remember Eddie Feigner and his softball team, AKA The King and His Court? Something told me to look him up. Get a load of this (from Wikipedia): On February 18, 1967, Feigner appeared in a celebrity charity softball game against many Major League players. In the game Feigner struck out Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Brooks Robinson, Roberto Clemente, Maury Wills, and Harmon Killebrew all in a row.[1]

    Curtiss getting through an entire inning without giving up a run was certainly Rodneyesque.

    By my count that's 9 runs (4 HRs) in last 1.1 innings for Busenitz. Not exactly what we were looking for.

    Not quite sure why we have 19 pitchers and only 15 batters on the active roster. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
