  1. I hope someone is keeping track of how many times a shift works vs how many it doesn't.
  2. 3 outs on 9 pitches. Good Gibson this evening?
  3. Bumgarner as a starter could free up Perez for the BP. The question is of course would Perez be an improvement to the BP?
  4. So I turn off the game when the Sox have runners on first and third with one out in the 10th thinking that not only will the hometown 9 lose, but that this will be the start of a rather dismal run of games that let's Cleveland climb back to within 5. I guess I don't win anything, do I? Der Schlagmeister is der Best!!!
  5. Doesn't the home plate umpire seem rather.....small? Leon on his knees is almost as tall as he is.
  6. Well, since yesterday I got hammered for getting the order and location wrong, I’ll forgo that part of it and just say Cron, Garver, and Rosario.
  7. Looks quite a bit like Jeff Reardon. I say give him a chance.
  8. By my count the BP has given up 31 runs in the last 10 games. Not a whole lot of apparent help at Rochester. How long before they Twins start recalling pitchers from Pensacola if they don't make a trade or two?
  9. Man, was that a great prediction or what?
  10. It would appear Morin has a pitch count of 5 or less in any given game.
  11. I really don't want to see it going into the 8th with the Twins ahead 1-0, Knowuddamean?
  12. Apparently so. I guess I need to take my crystal ball into the shop and get it tuned up.
  13. So assuming the Harvard U study they're talking about is correct, 34,000 missed strike/ball calls in a season means there are 14 missed pitches/game (34,000/2,430 games). Assuming 125 pitches per team per game, that comes out to an error rate of about 5.5%, which means the home plate umps are correct 94.5% of the time. Acceptable or not? Discuss.
  14. Cruz with a majestic long ball to deep left center and Cron with a laser beam just inside the LF foul pole.
  15. Happiness is having Garver and Cron on the bench last night and not seeing where I'd need to have them pinch hit.
