    Colon makes sense to me. Why not? Always liked him. It's better than rushing a prospect. Not a playoff team anyway.

    Pretty sure they'll have to call him up soon or lose him. His last start was great.

    I think May is going to come back on a mission. He got shafted by Ryan and Molitor Big time with that ill advised move to the bullpen. Will be a make or break year for him in 2018.

    Yeah, the cupboard is so bare I could not justify giving up prospects to make a run with Hamels. There are still too many holes to fill for us to be considered contenders. And just making the playoffs doesn't make you a contender (see Gardy years). Our window hasn't opened yet. Probably won't be until Romero and gonsalves are ready to contribute. Also, must trade position prospects for pitching prospects. (Gordon?)

    And I never need to see Santiago pitch another game in a Twins uniform.

    Would love to see Bartolo seize this opportunity. Would also like to see Dillon Gee soon. I thoroughly expect a blood bath today with Gibson on the mound, and hopefully be Gibson's last start as a Twin. This rotation would be intriguing. 1. Santana 2. Berrios 3. Mejia 4. Colon 5. Gee

    I'm happy with Duffey right where he is. I'd give Wilk a couple starts. You never know. Maybe they have something with him.

    One of the greatest injustices I've ever seen. Prized prospect May banished to the bullpen in favor of Pelfrey the retread. Need in the bullpen or not, you don't fill it with a top prospect who was just coming into his own. IMO ruined May's career. Ryan should have filled that bullpen need in the offseason. Or trade Pelfrey for a reliever. Sorry to bring up the past when we're looking forward, but I'm still steamed about May. Loved that power arm. How nice would he look in this rotation right now?

    Don't want to wish injury on anyone, but I'm ok with him never making another start for us. Time for Hughes to find his niche in the bullpen. Probably long man mop up duty. Pelfrey held back May, I don't want Hughes holding back the next in line.

    They've been an amazing surprise. Sano in RF made his entire season a loss. Not deeming Polanco a SS set him back a year. Horrible miscalculations by the previous regime. The definition of incompetence.

    They take every thinkable precaution and they're still ravaged with sore arms and surgeries. Coddling doesn't work. Go old school.

    When will this organization realize that coddling actually causes more injuries? Seems to me I read somewhere they don't even do long toss anymore in their minor league throwing program. Or if they do it's not the traditional arm strength building long toss. It's an abbreviated coddled version.

    May would be a solid #2 behind Erv right now had Ryan not put his career in a tailspin in 2015.

    Could anyone here blame Hunter Greene if he tells the Twins he won't sign if we draft him? Look at our track record of drafting and developing pitchers. He'll end up hurt or ineffective. It's a career death sentence. I want the kid bad. But I'll understand if he doesn't want to come here. Who's the last pitcher the twins drafted and developed? Radke? Can't really say Garza. He didn't get good until he left.

    I just can't be to optimistic about Vargas anymore. Maybe new hitting coach will be good for him?

    He was outstanding in 2008. He struggled in 2009, but we gave up on him too early. I completely disagreed with releasing him. Then he went to Oakland and immediately became really good. 2009 was also the RA Dickey season. Gardy had no clue how to use him. Should have had a place in the rotation. Or the long man in the bullpen. But Gardy loved to use everybody an inning at a time then complain about his bullpen being decimated. Dickey needed innings. And of course, once he escaped Gardy he became very good just like Breslow.

    Make or break year for Gibson. He should have to earn a spot in the top 5. Nothing should be handed to him. The Twins seem to have a history of saying there will be competition, when there's not. May was lied to last spring. Even back to Slowey........he was told there would be competition, he outpitched the others, and still ended up in the bullpen.
