  1. I thought he was awful. This pitching prospect must be a real winner.
  2. I saw him berate enough Latino teammates that I’m not going to say he was a great person or teammate. I saw him scream at Alexi Casilla right on the field. Publicly trash Josmil Pinto, a great non-English speaking kid who couldn’t even defend himself. I’ve seen him stare down Rosario on atleast two occasions after misplays. It’s not politically correct to rip Perkins here, but I’m sticking up for these kids that he treated badly.
  3. And it's not the only time Molitor has done it this year. Which is why he deserves to unemployed with Mientkiewicz. Most of the time I'm in favor of pushing the starter a little bit. Not Colon. When he loses it, he loses it fast. Almost abruptly. Everyone saw it except Molitor.
  4. So frustrating Pressly didn't realize where his fielders were and pull back his glove. The ball was hit directly into the shift. An easy out for Dozier. Pressly was actually very good otherwise. An encouraging outing. They will need him.
  5. Desperately need Buxton back. Granite is flat out not major league caliber.
  6. Desperately need Mejia back as our 5th starter.
  7. Desperately need Grossman back at DH.
  8. There was no excuse for not sending Belisle out for the 8th. Molitor still no clue how to manage a bullpen.
  9. Colon is one of our best pitchers. Why get rid of him?
  10. Colon makes sense to me. Why not? Always liked him. It's better than rushing a prospect. Not a playoff team anyway.
  11. Pretty sure they'll have to call him up soon or lose him. His last start was great.
  12. And I never need to see Santiago pitch another game in a Twins uniform.
  13. Would love to see Bartolo seize this opportunity. Would also like to see Dillon Gee soon. I thoroughly expect a blood bath today with Gibson on the mound, and hopefully be Gibson's last start as a Twin. This rotation would be intriguing. 1. Santana 2. Berrios 3. Mejia 4. Colon 5. Gee
  14. They've been an amazing surprise. Sano in RF made his entire season a loss. Not deeming Polanco a SS set him back a year. Horrible miscalculations by the previous regime. The definition of incompetence.
  15. I just can't be to optimistic about Vargas anymore. Maybe new hitting coach will be good for him?
  16. I think Gordon is the answer at SS and he better get here soon. Dozier or Polanco will have to be dealt. I hope Sano can lose some weight and commit himself to improving his defense at 3B. And BTW, how sweet would it be to sign Napoli? I know, it's a pipe dream. 1B Napoli 2B Dozier or Polanco SS Gordon 3B Sano There are options. But I'm skeptical they'll make the right decisions.
  17. I don't dislike him. Just view him a utility player. And I want the young players, the future, to play.
  18. I'm just as fearful of Sano at 3B. It doesn't help that Ryan robbed him of a year of development at 3rd last year. It's a supreme frustration to be saddled with Mauer for two more years and being obligated to play him. The infield I posted earlier could be very successful. Sano is the perfect fit for 1st base. I do not believe in playing him at DH. 1B Sano 2B Dozier SS Gordon (pull a Knoblauch and make the team) 3B Polanco This is ideal. Makes so much sense.
  19. I really want no part of Escobar as an everyday player any longer. That ship sailed. He's a 2-3 games a week guy. Like Punto should have been if not for a certain manager's infatuation with him.
  20. In my mind, if he had the drive to match his talent he'd have been one of the best baseball players of all time. There comes a time in every athletes career where they realize they can no longer get by on talent alone, and they're going to have to work at it. He hasn't come to this realization yet, and he never will. His idea of a productive offseason is a little bit of stretching and alot of rest. I've defended him for a long time, but even I can't do it anymore.
  21. A competent organization moves Sano to 1B and Mauer to the bench. Mauer doesn't want to put in the time in the offseason to build strength and endurance so he's not continually breaking down, well he can save his energy by watching from the bench then. 1B Sano 2B Dozier SS Gordon (by midseason if not earlier) 3B Polanco
  22. BTW, I'm referring to Berenguer blowing game 3 of the World Series. Reardon blew game 3 of the ALCS. That was a heart breaker.
  23. We gotta get a 1987 Twins discussion going! Such an amazing season. Such interesting names on that roster. Steve Carlton! Joe Niekro! Don Baylor! Wow! What a season! One thing I felt bad about was Berenguer blew that 1-0 lead in game 3. Winning game 3 would have put Niekro on the mound for game 4!
  24. I'm still trying to process Dozier, Plouffe, Hughes, and Perkins having a "The Bachelor" season finale party last March during spring training. What does it say about your team when your supposed team leaders are throwing "The Bachelor" season finale parties? One of the many differences between the 2016 core, and the 1987 core of Kirby, Herbie, Bruno, and Gaetti.
