My god, brawls break out in almost every sport at one time or another. League hands out discipline. No one loses their job. These are games. Things get said. Tempers get lost. People do stupid things. The term "rhubarb" has been around baseball for a long time.
At the time I disagreed with the hook, but Albers was probably gassed and Gardy probably did the right thing. Fien came in and did his job. Everyone left happy except the Royals and their fans. A fun game to watch and those have been a rarity.
I have always been pro-Gardy but the time has come to inject some new leadership into that clubhouse. If the Twins already have an in-house replacement in mind, make the move now rather than in the offseason. Might as well let the new guy get his feet wet during a season that is already toast.
Hooray for Summit! An appropriate partner for Twins Daily. I am a big-time consumer of Minnesota brewed adult beverages. I will buy a six pack of Saga tonight to celebrate the union.
What's so glorious about a bunch of drunk people sitting in their underwear in their dimly lit basements arguing online about Twins baseball? I think we present a fine example for children - "Do you really wanna grow up to be like this"?
Is anyone else having difficultly tuning in the Twins new radio home? I am in a third floor office in Roseville. I have no trouble tuning in other major FM stations but K-TWIN is getting totally pushed out by KS95 and Cities97. I really hope this doesnt continue to be a problem.
I agree, the fan base has just never been able to embrace the likes of Carew, Oliva, Kirby, Torii, Span, Revere, etc... We crackers will tolerate a losing team as long is it is made up of mostly half-talent white guys.
Couldn't agree more. Thanks for all of the time and effort you guys put in. I don't post much but I visit the site at least once a day regardless of my disappointment in what's occuring on the field. I especially love the minor league coverage. Things will be better next year. Hope springs eternal! - Thanks again!
Congratulations to my adopted prospect, Max Kepler, as well as Elizabethton teammate Candido Pimentel on being named to the 2012 Appalachian League All-Star team. Pimental was also named 2012 Appy Player of the Year! http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120823&content_id=37214284&vkey=news_l120&fext=.jsp&sid=l120
Taking my son and his friend down to Cedar Rapids for Saturday night's Snappers/Kernels game. We've got seats behind the Snappers dugout. Any suggestions for helping the boys get some autographs? I want to make sure they follow proper etiquette.
