    Yeah, but you also said you hope we can pull off this kind of deal for Santana. That seems to imply the same kind of haul. Which would imply he's worth about the same. I must have completely misunderstood.

    Santana isn't worth close to what Quintana is worth. Quintana is better, much younger, cheaper and under control for longer. If anything, this should make some fans' expectations more realistic

    They should deal him regardless. Santana too. We already waited too long for Dozier.

    'The run differential is very real but a little deceptive.' Well, it can be. Whether or not it is in the case I'm not sure. In any event, I normally use BaseRuns which has us worthy of a 38-50 record.

    Stewart has an ERA of 3.73, has more BB/9 than K/9 (that takes talent) and a WHIP over 1.500 in his 2nd trip through AA. News of his turning the corner are highly exaggerated.

    Without pitching, when will WE truly be very good? and at least the W Sox have a W Series win this century :-)

    Especially with how little he is getting paid in relation to the value he provides. He is very much underpaid by MLB standards. Between his immense talent and his contract, he was worth every bit of what the W Sox got (if not a bit more)

    Of course there is, one only needs to look at the prospect rating for a certain fleet footed CF as a cautionary tale of counting too much on how well prospect rating translate to MLB performance. But it seems odd many people glorified the Twins former FO for the Twins high prospect rating when they had them and now want to give warnings and/or push aside the farm system the W Sox has assembled.
