    well, yeah, but not allowed to trade prospects for proven MLB players. :-) Which is what a trade for Teheran would be.

    Is Kepler hurt? I ask cause his OPS is like 140 points higher against righties and the Braves pitcher, a righty, clearly does worse against lefties.

    Again, not sure the Braves are the worst team in baseball, based on the divisions we play in, we could very well be.

    The professionals (Pohlad and Ryan) thought we'd be contenders this year. Just saying :-)

    But all then again, in the offseason, they may just get a FA where it's just money and no prospects, and they can also trade with the rest of the 29 teams (whereas at the trade deadline, quite a few teams aren't selling some won't be looking to sell). The offseason floods the market. I contend there's a reason they talk about premium prices in regards to the trade deadline.

    How many businesses trade their employees around? Sports is a different animal than other businesses. The players know, going in, that trades and releases and so on are part of the job.

    Interesting article about Assange (wikileaks) in regards to leaked email/correspondence. Notice someone involved with this got like 35 years in prison.     TR absolutely did some great things for the organization and I enjoyed pointing those out way more than pointing out his mistakes. For example, I've always defended the Span trade even though I really like Span. The thought process behind that trade was sound, it just didn't work out. The wrong pitcher was chosen, but the thinking behind it was good. Trade from a supposed strength for a weakness.

    When I think of Number 3 starters, Ervin Santana is exactly the type of pitcher that comes to mind.

    The new Star Trek and it was very good. The trailers didn't do it justice, which is a shame, and I think that hurt it's box office numbers.

    I am rooting for the Cubs to win it all. I knew my two favorite teams (Twins in the AL, Rockies in the NL) wouldn't be competing and the Cubs have been my 3rd team for a very long time.
