  1. Backyard baseball. Play until it's too dark to see the ball.
  2. I think we're looking at history. I hour 23 minutes after 2 innings. "The longest 9-inning game by time in major league baseball history was the second game of a doubleheader that lasted 4 hours 45 minutes played between the New York Yankees and the home team Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts, USA on 18 August 2006. The Yankees were victorious, 14-11.Aug 18, 2006."
  3. I was outside for a minute. What happened to Suzuki? Did they say what hit Remy?
  4. Boshers should not have been sent down. Glad to have him back.
  5. However, your view is just another conspiracy theory.
  6. Tell us something about him.
  7. That bit about Belarus -- "While visiting … tourists are entertained by watching live corruption performances from politicians who openly engage in bribery, extortion, embezzlement and gombeenism in front of sold out audiences" -- is very funny. But I never heard of gombeenism. Will I ever hear or gombeenism again?
  8. Happy birthday, Byung Ho Park. 30 years old today.
  9. .301 since June 9.
  10. This is why I no longer post on Twins Daily, and rarely look. Thanks a heap.
  11. Dante, you've been in hell too long. Rosario's has a -4 dWAR in 2016. His routes are not crisp like Buxton's and Kepler's. Of course he is a world better than Willingham or D. Young, but that is like comparing hind steak to chuck (I looked it up, okay). Rosario has zero plate discipline (18 walks in 154 mlb games) and for that to fly he had better hit like Tony Oliva or Vlad Guerrero, which he never will. So ... why bring him back up? More of the same. More of the same. More of the same. "Turn him loose, let him go ... let him say he outdrew me fair and square. I want him to feel what it's like to every moment face his death." (Brownsville Girl) Spare us the aggravation of waiting around for it to happen two, three, or five years from now.
  12. I disagree about Rosario. I don't see him making it as a major league hitter. And his D is iffy. Buxton's not ready. Grossman's a rental. Escobar's a subpar shortstop. Trade Plouffe and Dozier. Is Murphy ready? There are no answers as far as I can see. Only gaping questions.
  13. Speaking of announcers ... I'm watching the Yankees broadcast. Not impressed. Here are my favorites, in no particular order. SF Giants. Oakland A's. Baltimore Orioles. Los Angeles Dodgers. What are you favorites?
  14. Buxton and Kepler are top defenders. Build around them.
  15. Jorge Polanco is ripping it up at AAA. .849 OPS. 20 extra base hits in 43 games. .974 fielding percentage at 2B (he's improving, I think). He will be 23 years old on July 5. Trade Dozier on July 4.
  16. One right decision at a time, no matter how long it takes. We need outfielders who can field AND hit. Not field or hit, not hit or field. We've seen that and done that too much. Kepler is a move in the right direction. He has speed and agility. He's good with the glove. He's a natural on defense. And he can hit. Dump those who can't play both ways and build a roster. Kepler's your cornerstone.
  17. What? I just happen to think our "problems" are a combination of player, coach, manager, front office. Putting all the blame on one segment of the four layers is not correct.
  18. Jays announcers talking about Park's "arm bar swing," which makes hitting low pitches hard. Hmm.
  19. http://southpark.cc.com/clips/154917/no-more-baseball#
  20. No need for any more posts on this topic. Bark hit it out of the park.
  21. Thanks for the videos. It was a much closer/riskier play than a lot of people seem to think. Of course, it's my opinion, but I understand Molitor being upset with that.
