  1. He's 24 in the MWL (2 years older than league) with a high walk rate and high K rate. They have other C+ guys I'd be a bit more interested in for the record.
  2. That may be so, but they've been linked to Gray and Darvish as well. Wonder if the Twins would do a Paulino (as a PTBNL) for Santana swap.
  3. I'd imagine that is what you'd get. I did some checking, and a lot of the C+ guys that I would want aren't doing too hot this year.
  4. I'm really curious if the Stros will make a run for Santana. They Yankees are corning the market on Gray. Seems like the Stros are out on Darvish too. They might be a fit here.
  5. well, given that the Indians seem more interested in Zach Britton and his price tag/history now that Reed is gone, you might be right.
  6. I wouldn't expect much more than a high upside/high risk low A lotto type. Honestly, I'm also fine with that.
  7. MLBTR is saying the Yankees are front runners for Gray right now. Guess their rotation is in pretty bad shape if they've acquired Garcia and still want more pitching.
  8. I suspect we will see both Enns and Sleegers shortly depending on today's action. Enns will likely replace Colon. If Erv is traded, I think Sleegers gets added too.
  9. His bat is a bit punchless too. Sorry, but I don't see anything from Granite that says he will be a better player than Buxton. He might be slightly better now, but he definitely doesn't have the higher ceiling.
  10. I doubt this many pieces get moved. I'd be surprised if more than 2 guys are moved.
  11. for all the angst surrounding Belisle's name, it's a bit surprising to think he could be dealt to another team. Not sure I'd expect a ton for Belisle or Kintsler, but if we get a low A lotto type, I'm fine with that.
  12. yeah, I'd honestly flip Gimenez for org filler just to get Garver up. He's ready.
  13. They have a couple decent pitching options, but their system lacks high ceilings. https://www.minorleagueball.com/2017/7/23/15961538/mid-season-review-arizona-diamondbacks-top-20-prospects-for-2017
  14. Yeah, Rodgers definitely has a role on this team going forward, but it's not that late inning shut down guy. He's an exceptional loogy more than anything. I do like some of the talent coming up, but it's miscasting guys like Rodgers due to short comings in the pen that is the real issue here. Overuse is also killing these guys.
  15. If that was on the table, I think Falvine takes it and runs. I sure would.
  16. Write up on minor league ball. I'm liking this deal more and more. The question with Littell, from where I stand is whether or not this season is a breakout and the beginning of something more or just an outlier... If it's a breakout, we got a real good pitcher. I'm guessing the Yankees think otherwise or they would not have traded him. https://www.minorleagueball.com/2017/7/30/16064776/the-back-up-plan-yankees-get-jaime-garcia-for-zack-littell-and-dietrich-enns
  17. This is a great trade. We essentially traded ynoa for pitching depth and a nice prospect in the high minors. Littel might not have ynoas ceiling, but he misses bats and is far more likely to make it
  18. yeah, I'd be actively shopping Giminez whether a buyer or seller. I'd have to think Santana or Kintzler would be shopped. Not expecting much for Kitnzler. Perhaps 1 top 100 for Santana.
  19. You might have a point if Judge went 6th... but every team passed on him... and for good reason.
  20. This should not be a problem. It would be a normal increase.
  21. BTW Bob, I was giving you some crap, but I really really really do appreciate your contributions to this site... I tend to agree in that I don't think we should be significant buyers, but it can happen. If they cannot find some SP help that can stick around for a while in the next week, I really do hope they are willing to open the checkbook for 2018. No offence to Garcia, but he's a 'stop the bleeding' type pickup. Given that this team has about 20 MLBers on it's 25 man roster (OK, 21 now), that might actually help with the playoffs by taking pressure off the pen and giving us a decent option every 5th day. It's not a long term answer though, and given how the hitting core is progressing, I hope they aim high this offseason.
