    That is a very good point. Does anyone know why he was pulled after 68 pitches? The hits and runs are a problem. Or the walks are a problem. But it looks like either or. Unless a unforeseen miracle happens, he does not look like a corner hitting type pitcher. I would imagine by now his head is spinning and he has lost any confidence he ever had. Sometimes players are not good matches for an orginisation. This might be one. The Twins are a control pitcher oriented operation, and he isn't that type of pitcher. This could turn into an ongoing saga. You can draft big arms, but if you don't allow for the different style of pitching that entails, it will not be a successful transition from the control type mantra that was the preferred style in the past.

    Regarding pinch hitting Escobar, what are your choices? Mauer is the only one that is hitting at all. Plouffe maybe? And they were both in the lineup. This is really not a good offensive team. Dozier has completely sold out on the inside pitch, and seems to be getting more and more frustrated. Virtually every young hitter in the orginisation is struggling. It's like it's a disease.

    . Several thoughts: First off, you are going to have to quit sharing your pics with Brian! Not that they don't look good, it's that he has no sense of discretion whatsoever. Who knows how many men will now miss almost the entire game thread, and maybe even the game itself because of this. Secondly, considering Chiefs advanced age, it's irresponsible to put pics like this in the game thread. If something happens to the Chief, I am holding him personally responsible. But the most serious transgression from the game thread was seeing Schafer batting with Price pitching. Doesn't baseball have rules against stuff like this?
