  1. Thank you. I always wondered why mind man typed that at the end of each post. At the same time, I didn't care enough to ask. Plus, on TD GT someone always answers everything sooner or later. The answers aren't always sensible, or even correct, but the thought still counts.
  2. This is the lineup that will break the streak. I heard tickets are going fast . . . ! Some are being tossed out car windows, the light rail tracks are reportedly littered with them, men are sitting on street corners holding cardboard signs: Will work for food! But not for Twins tickets! And some have found it necessary to recycle their tickets. Apparently there are some things that even Waste Management will not handle!
  3. Next week him and Dean will be exchanging living quarters.
  4. I typed "Best first quarter Twins Players" in the Google and the Google said no applicable results were available. But it did list some amazing deals on ED meds!
  5. Vannister. Normally I would not bother you on a Saturday, I know what's it like to be in charge. The interns get the weekend off and you have to show up and carry the load! The brutal life of an entrepreneur! But I received terrible news this morning. Another Twins loss? Robbie Grossman getting 3 f*^+ing hits? Trevor May reduced to pitching in the 6th inning, and I don't mean during a start? Audra not being at the game last night? Nope, none of the above. Far worse. Mr. Ed's owner, Willlbuuuurrr died! Tragic! He was only 96, which in horse years is, well actually I have no damn idea, but it seems young for a horse. But it wasn't just Willllbuuuuurrrrr that affected me, Mr Ed made me think of Hannahs horse, which made me think of Hannah, which made me think of . . ., well I think you get the picture. What do I do? I have been sitting in the SW corner of moms basement since right after Mays first pitch last night. Between the Twins games, the terrible news about Tink Larson field, the loss of Willllbuuuurrrr, and the abrupt disappearance of Hannah, I see no reason to go on. Can you offer any solace, comfort, hope?
  6. Some things are best left in the past!
  7. . . . And more positive facial expressions...........
  8. What the hell is a Darwin Barney?
  9. There are two things you can count on! The Twins giving up runs immediately after finally scoring some themselves, and Dozier pulling an outside pitch to SS.
  10. And 75% of the people on TD GT.
  11. I think this, and what seemed a sudden departure from winter ball, with conflicting reports and quotes on the cause, lends me to believe that he is not excited to be Hunter's replacement. I don't think in his wildest imagination he ever expected to be an OF. And if he did, he sure didn't put in any early time working the craft! That said, no one will convince me that the Plouffe/Sano/Park situation was not the start of the whole downward spiral.
  12. I might be wrong, but he seems to take an awful lot of hittable pitches, and with two strikes seems prone to take close pitches for strike three, instead of trying to foul one off and extend an at bat. He also gives me the impression he operates with his own strike zone, not accepting the fact that there is already one being established by the guy behind the catcher.
  13. I see Santana is not in Rochester? . I had no problem with the idea of the steal attemp, there was already an out, the Twins had not hit anything for 8-9 innings and we were 10-29. WTH. Sometimes you roll the dice! Maybe it's just me, but the Twins have lost with such stunning consistency, that the thought of them winning a game, doesn't occur to me anymore. And that includes when they are ahead. I now know what the Detroit Lions felt like in the Bud Grant era. They knew they were going to lose, they didn't know how, or when, but no matter the score at anytime in the game, they knew they would lose. And did!
  14. There are a lot of things that Dick is, but too rough on the players is not one of them. My biggest gripe is his penchant for treating a ball hit 380 ft in play differently depending on who hit it. As for Bert, I really don't have too many issues. In reality, the worse the game the better he is. And in a way they do have my sympathy. With the exception of last May, this is now going on the 6th year of horrific baseball. That's tough to describe, sound enthused, and keep your job.
  15. Is it possible to consider that the retirement of Torii Hunter was the highlight of the Twins off season? (please set your snark meters to 50%). And I was "meh. On the Hicks/Murphy trade, and still am. I don't really think Murphy will end up a lost cause. That said, I am not sure that the motivation for the trade was talent level oriented. I think Ryan wanted Hicks outa here at any cost. As for the rest of the year end decisions, they'd didn't seem good at the time, but when you see them printed out, all in a row, they seem more like incomprehensible. I was not and am not against moving on the the younger talent, but I do wish it seemed like Molitor was more in tune with this program. Rumor has it he was Pohlads choice? If that is true, it would explain some of the unexplained actions that have occurred this year.
  16. Grammatical question for Chief? Is putting . . . after ellipses. . . an incorrect use of puncuation or . . .
  17. You don't have to wait, our Twins have already redlined! Whoops, I meant flatlined!
  18. Whoever said "consistency is the hallmark of a great team" had never watched the Twins!
  19. Mollies faith in Jepsen is well placed. True there were a couple fly balls to the OF, but that can happen to anyone!
  20. I have noticed that Sano and fly balls often tend to go in different directions.
  21. He looks like he would have a hard time following through with his back ski?
  22. I do 100% of my driving near home, near home. . .
  23. Bert and the legendary Harry Doyle!
  24. Yet more proof to Doze that you can reach out and successfully pull every outside pitch!
