  1. I'm surprised at Cleveland. Very pleasantly surprised by Santana, Buxton's relative health, and SWR. Very surprised, in a bad way, by Julien. Mildly surprised by Castro. Disappointed in Lopez and the pen. Continue to be disappointed the front office didn't add starting pitching last winter. I don't think the pen can get the team to the postseason as constructed. I don't think the offense will be as good second half for one thing.
  2. What I notice from your list, Brian, is that 8 of the 10 current playoff teams are in the bottom half.
  3. C4 didn't break his wrist. If it's broke, the Dbacks did.
  4. Drill someone. Too late now, though.
  5. How much longer will we be forced to put up with Farmer?
  6. 1. Pleasantly surprised. 2. Which of these three goes to make room? Henriquez, Thielbar, or Funderburk My guess is Funderburk, but it SHOULD be Thielbar
  7. I'm pleasantly surprised. I was pretty sure they'd take the path of least resistance and bring up Varland Saturday.
  8. I think Buxton would tell you he should have caught that triple by Suarez. He got there in time. Simply didn't make the catch. He also got a poor jump on Carroll's single off Alcala. I think that ball gets caught by most MLB CFers, most of the time. It wasn't that shallow and hung up a pretty long time. I've been asking for a new manager since last season, but I had no problem with last night's pitching decisions. Alcala has always had command/control issues. That's part of the package. That was his 13th BB allowed in 26 IP this year. But given pen construction, he's one of the better options. In any case Ryan's start was way more responsible for the loss than Alcala. And score more runs. The magic number in MLB is 5. Don't sleep walk through the first five innings so often.
  9. Your piano. In your "music room." Well lah-dee-fricken-dah.
  10. Larnach always looks so much more dangerous than he turns out to be.
  11. Not a good night defensively from Buxton. But no reason for Alcala to walk Perdomo.
  12. That first pitch to Carroll was a hell of a catch by Jeffers
  13. Just kidding, Caleb. You can sit back down.
  14. Everyone should have one! Did you know Prince is actually from Minnesota?? It's true!
