  1. We don't play the prospects we have now, what specific needs do you see, We have a glut of outfield candidates, supposedly a couple of catchers ready in the next two years. And our development of prospects is suspect at best. So before bringing more in to the organization it would be nice to see a plan..
  2. Caratini has had two years catching over 90 games, topping out at 101. And these two years were two of his worst OPS. I am not sure how you came to the conclusion he can handle a larger workload when he hasn't before in his career and will be 33 next year. I realize we may be stuck with him if we don't retain Jeffers, but to consider him a full time or even 3/4 is another part of the failed legacy left behind by Falvey.
  3. You can still have designated roles, it doesn't mean that mean all three get used every day. This is how you end up with an Orze or some other waiver wire pickup trying to close games. Baseball has had that for a 100 years, it is nothing new.
  4. That has nothing to do roles and you know it. How often does that situation come up?
  5. I am old enough to remember when people on here thought Orze should be our closer, where are they now. They really need to define roles, Shelty said the other night, no one has stepped up. Start with Gomez, Morris and Banda in innings 7 thru 9. You can switch up later if it doesn't work, but the constant trying to win match ups is only going to work part of the time. Go with the best of what is available and it is up to the Z man to get better talent if it is not good enough.
  6. It is the outfielder's ball, always has been. Can we say we hate Luke without saying it.
  7. It's the outfielder's ball, and he called Clemens off.
  8. Please explain how they will trade him in 2028, the situation will be no different than it is today.
  9. Buxton isn't going anywhere, it is not up to the Twins, and they just said they are honoring his wishes to stay. Trade Larnach for whatever you can get, it won't be much more than a low minor prospect. Bell you can DFA, and hopefully because I doubt there will be a market for him.
  10. What signing or trade did the Pohlad's say no to. Did Ryan bring them something and they said no way. Ryan worked with the resources given and knew the environment he was operating and acted accordingly unlike Falvey.
  11. Clemens should not have hit there, quit treating him like a core player.
  12. I forgot to put in the sarcasm emoji.
  13. If even that, his track record is not special over his whole career.
  14. They also said he may be seeing time in RF, how does him. A day off is one thing but then move him around with no viable option to replace him.
  15. We are not afraid to hold Keaschall accountable why not others.
  16. I was responding to a post that he was not in the lineup because of last night.
  17. And was Gray sat immediately after all his defensive miscues, including an obstruction call. It feels like a different standard for the younger players.
  18. He's not doing that every game. He actually had a few good games before that. I am not defending his defense but how about work with him rather than moving him around. They have no other legitimate options to play second right now.
  19. Are they just using a dart board to determine defensive positions. First they have Keaschall take grounders at 1B, now it's Right Field. I know he had a rough night last night, have some confidence in him. Are they seriously going to play Gray ahead of him.
  20. He actually had a decent April, a bad May and now a couple of good weeks. You do understand, Washington tried to trade him at the deadline last year and had no takers. And there was minimal interest this off-season except for Falvey. Just because we like a player, doesn't mean they are tradeable.
  21. If Clemens is a starter, then we are no more than .500 team. He is a role player who should be playing 3 to 4 days a week.
  22. And in May he was horrible. Do you really think the rest of the league doesn't know that he is a streaky hitter. We need a dose of realism on our players. I love the streak he is on, but it's not going to change his value.
  23. Kreidler has only played every day for less than a week. Let's see what he can when he plays more. I like his defense and don't mind him on the roster as a utility player. But how many do we need. Like you said we need to find what we have now this year. Or we will be having the same debates next year at this time. Ride with Luke at 2B this year, is there really room for him in the outfield if even a fraction of the guys coming up work out. I don't want to make room for Kreidler at this point as a starter.
