  1. He kind of reminds me of Duffey with significantly worse stuff. His fastball is slower and his breaking ball isn't nearly as sharp. I really don't see any potential there and would have gotten rid of him already.
  2. I think people too often equate prospects with wins. The Miracle don't really have any prospects but there are some good minor league players there.
  3. With Sano having an absolute monster season, I feel like Maximillian Kepler is flying under the radar a bit. This kid is having a hell of a season so far. He has an .830 OPS and is playing above average corner outfield and passable center. His only weakness at the moment is hitting lefties but watching his at-bats the last few weeks he's actually looked pretty comfortable up there against southpaws; he just hasn't gotten the results yet. He doesn't strike out a whole lot, draws walks, and can steal a base every now and then. It's early but he's also 7th(!!!!) among hitters in the entire American League in WAR, trailing only Trout, Judge, Dickerson, Sano, Gardner and A. Garcia. Show some love for the German!
  4. No way, I would not even be close to trading prospects yet.
  5. I was pretty confident that Jimenez was as terrible as Gibson, wasn't sure if he'd show it tonight though.
  6. Whenever "we" is Kyle Gibson, the answer is usually no.
  7. Torii breaks into "Ebony and Ivory" when discussing Buxton and Kepler. Just like Bert would.
  8. He is definitely serviceable out there. You have to wonder how easy Buxton makes both of those catches look though.
  9. Beats listening to Torii talk about how great the Twins bullpen is.
  10. Phil Hughes has been throwing batting practice this season. What should Falvine do about it?
  11. Wilk has been alright today but it's all smoke and mirrors with him. I'd much rather see one of our prospects up here.
  12. He reminds me more of Pedro Martinez from a stature/stuff standpoint than Jose Fernandez. I suppose I'd take either one though.
  13. I'm sitting here giggling while watching this. I haven't seen anything like it since Johan and Liriano.
  14. Haven't seen this borderline dominant starting pitcher movie before though. I've heard it's good.
  15. Positives from game 1: Buxton and Pressly
  16. If you do believe in "clutch" being a thing, Dozier is not it.
  17. 4th on MLB this year. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2017 He'll move down on the midterm rankings.
  18. Colorado is an interesting team. Three of their five starters are rookies still below the prospect threshold for career innings and the two veterans (Anderson and Chatwood) are struggling big time. Not the greatest recipe for success but they sure can hit.
