Managing with the bigger picture in mind is what I am seeing at this juncture of the season. Frustrating loss of course. But, I'm confident in the process.
Nice to see Garver looking confident and driving the ball. Lots of positives to point to in this game. These guys seem to genuinely pull for each other and enjoy one another's successes. Side note, Cruz may be in the clubhouse bragging about his blazing speed to anyone who will listen right now!
My opinion does not qualify as "an extreme take." The sample size is not small and he is not going to suddenly become Big Pappi. Time to stop holding out hope IMHO.
I am on record as being a Sano doubter. His long majestic home runs seem like just enough to keep hope for him alive for some. I might end up looking stupid for saying this. But I really think we would be better off short and long term by making Kiriloff our every day first baseman.
The 2 losses we have had took extra innings to pry out of our hands. The missed opportunities were opportunities that we were good enough to create. One hundred percent of your guys are not going to be clicking all at the same time.
Great series! Let's hope Donaldson sharting between 1St and 2nd base in game one and Buxton, who ate dinner with Donaldson Thursday and had a delayed reaction, both hit the fluids and are ready next series.
AZTwin, I respectfully think that a little patience is warranted and your wishes will come to fruition in due time. There is no prospect blocking by starting with Garlick and Cave. I too like Rooker. He missed a bunch of time last year and this will benefit him as well as the team long term.
I have a hard time believing that any of our prospects could out perform a platoon of Cave and Garlic out of the gate. Especially considering last year's covid circumstances. Now once they settle back in and get some current games under their belts, who ever breaks out will have a clear and painless path to every day play on the big club. Patience in this situation is best IMHO.
Arrias wins a batting title. Donaldson stays healthy and belts 40 home runs while winning a platinum glove. Buxton stays healthy and emerges to MVP conversation and wins another platinum glove. It's ok to dream, right? Go Twins!
Rooker to the taxi squad for a bit does nothing to hurt the team or him. Willians can mash and is clutch. Lotta anxiety here about minor decisions by a brain trust that has the organization light years ahead of previous leadership.
Rooker to the taxi squad for now will do zero to hurt this team. Astidillo can mash and is a great team guy by all accounts. Great 25/26th guy. Lots of anxiety here over basically nothing.
