    Ugh...got back from vacation, turned on the Twins, watched a Buxton highlight...and then got BosheeeeeereD. When you're a loogy, ya better get the the lefties out or at least make them swing the bat. Why Molly left him in there is beyond me.

    In honor of the streak, I am declaring tomorrow (Friday) as Work From Home Naked Day. I'll be getting on a plane to go on vacation with the fam so, I regret that I will have to miss it and I won't be able to watch our Twins for the next 5 days...gasp! RB, since every day is WFHN day for you, feel free to carry on as usual.

    Dietrich Enns...gotta be a good nickname in there somewhere. Could be Dietrich "the fuhrer" Enns but I think too much is implied by that nickname. Dietrich "eins zwie drei" Enns has a bit of a ring to it.

    If they weren't good enough to go for it, why acquire Garcia? I get it that a tough west coast trip coincided with a Cleveland and Royals run, but here we sit just 3.5 back of the wildcard...so what if we get beat in the first round. It's playoff experience for the core 4. They didn't need to buy more, just stand pat with what they had and instead they sold.

    Well, just to have my bases covered, I'm going to Mankato on Tuesday and then to the Sea of Japan. I'm afraid if I reversed it, I might miss the Vikes.

    The Twins play Cleveland 6 more times at home and the Royals 7 more times. I don't like throwing in the towel. It's gotta affect the attitude of the guys that are left. I don't care how professional you are. Couple with that, you just went from getting Garcia and giving the squad a vote of confidence to changing the vote. You have a limited number of chances to go for it and you never know if injuries happen to our team or to a competitor. My incentive to watch the rest of the season just took a dive.

    There will be more roster moves down the road because you can bet they will be putting guys out on waivers to see if they can trade off some more assets. I'm bummed. The August schedule was good. Very bad timing to fall flat while two other teams in your division go nuts. I'm also looking ahead to next year and wondering what the FO will do to enhance interest for next year. I think it would be really cool if the Twins went on an August tear and then came up just a little short....ooops! Whose the new closer? Idunno. Who's on first? Whatshisname....
