  1. I seem to be in the minority of opinion but I would groom Graterol as the Big Bad Bull in the back of the pen. The Twins version of Mariano Rivera. The guy that trots out there at the end of the game and the opponent KNOWS it's the end of the game. To get there he needs to be on this year's post season roster. I agree with TNT assessment about strain on his arm/shoulder with his throwing motion and lack of leg push. Look at clips of the ultimate hard thrower, Nolan Ryan, he used his legs extensively. Nice choice of decisions to have to make.
  2. What sets Arraez apart is his hand eye coordination. Fantastically quick. This let's him fight off 2 strike pitches and a extremely tough out. This annoys the hooves off of pitches and drives up pitch counts. High pitch counts brings the bullpens into play sooner wrecking rotations and pens alike.
  3. Before the season started I was in Vegas and played a wager on the Twins to win the division. All year long I've been kicking myself, why didn't I put more on them. Then I would kick myself why did I squander that money. Back and forth all year long. What a wonderful ride.
  4. The thing is all players HAVE TO go through the training staff for any kind of supplement, nutrient or medication. You are setting yourself up for failure if you don't.
  5. I like Big Mike! Of the 3 Twins FA starting pitchers he would be my 1st choice/priority. It would be nice to sign one of the others, no preference on my part. I wonder what the payroll will look like next year.
  6. Ace I believe Lew Ford is still in game shape from playing on the Dominican National Team. A quick plane ride from Santo Domingo.
  7. And the most important question of the day. Can the Twins hit 300 BIG FLIES?
  8. I agree with Doc about wanting to resign Big Mike. Hopefully he would appreciate the last 2 year deal he signed with the Twins. Qualifying offer? Probably not. It's hard to say signing a fella to a multi million dollar contract signing then cheap but, I really want Big Mike back next year.
  9. I'll be at the Saturday night Sunday afternoon games. Last time I was able to make was Buxton's inaugural game. Wow, has it been that loooooooong?
  10. Nice article. Is Maria the Super Mom that adopts a lot of the minor leaguers? Makes sure that they are doing the correct things away from the ballpark. If so, love you Maria! If not still sending love your way.
  11. I think your stats are pointing to a bum ankle. If route to the ball was off that would be bad. With no solid push off reaction and burst are down. Your stats and my eyes agree. Your stats are approved.
  12. I think the Twins were a winner. I'm not sure the Mistake by the Lake is a winner. I wanted Vasquez, but oh well.
  13. I wanted Vasquez, oh well. Dyson is an upgrade to the pen. The Twins path to the WS is dependent on having the Bomba sticks and bashing through everything.
  14. Always in moderation- I'll take the under. My wish is Vasquez, but really will be a mid tier set up arm.
  15. I like Kiriloff and Lewis but, I like a WS Championship more. The Pirates are flushing themselves down the toilet. Go get Vasquez!
  16. Not really interested in SP. Vazquez and/or Iglesias that is all! Doc Bauer is spot on.
  17. I would like to see the "Sauce" get a little more playing time next year. Say 60-65%, I believe the freshness really helps him. Playoff time all bets are off. They need his bat in the lineup, DH, First Base, Catcher, the Twins need the boom stick!
  18. It was an off season trade, not in season, but getting Reardon was huge for the '87 team. Just like picking up a Vasquez or Iglesias would be for this year.
  19. A cheap get for a LOOGY? If the price is right not a bad addition. Maybe a flyer on a 30-50 prospect.
