    I don't like the idea of keeping Suzuki beyond this season. He should definitely be traded right now while his value is higher. Centeno seems somewhat adequate with the bat, and while his defense seems to be lacking, hopefully John Ryan Murphy can be called back up & provide at least hit better than the Mendoza line...

    Hopefully Molitor will bench Mauer now for the rest of the season and only play him sparingly. Early in the year there was so much talk about his new Nike light-flashing glasses, I guess they have stopped working, or else an opposing pitcher snuck into the Twins clubhouse and stole them from Joe's locker...

    Twins just announced on Twitter that the first pitch will be at 9:50 pm. What a stupid thing to do! Why not just wait and play a double-header tomorrow? I know that both teams have to travel tomorrow night to start four-game series on Thursday in Texas, but why not do something like 11:00 am for the first game tomorrow with the second game to follow basically immediately after? Whatever, I'm going to bed now.

    The Twins just tweeted an update on the status of the game saying that they will make a decision around 9:00 pm.

    I was wondering where the game thread was... It's interesting that Kepler is the lone lefty batter facing the lefty starter. What's going on with Mauer that he isn't playing? Is Molitor finally relegating him to the bench where he belongs?

    I like the idea of selling high on Nuñez. Hopefully this is a sell high time for Dozier too, due to his recent hot hitting streak. Hopefully the Twins can trade him before opposing pitchers make an adjustment & send him into another prolonged slump.

    So, what's wrong with him? Has his approach at the plate changed? Have pitchers changed their approach? Different combination of pitch selection & location? Different defensive shifts?

    What is the 10 and 5 rule that would impact Mauer? I doubt he would be selected in an expansion draft at this point in his career so I'm not sure why he would need to be protected...

    Wow! 5 HRs now today!! I bet the Twins hitters wish they could face Eovaldi more often. They beat him last week and Target Field and now they have a lead today and scored 5 runs off him...

    I can't believe the back-to-back-to-back HRs!! I was in the kitchen heating up leftovers for lunch & I couldn't believe it! Tony Oliva called it. After Dozier's HR he said that Plouffe would copy. And then after Plouffe's HR he said Kepler would make it 3 in-a-row and he started reminiscing about times during his career that the Twins did that. And then it happened. I couldn't believe it! I think it's pity because the Twins are so bad!

    Why was the run given up by Pressly an ER when Escobar made an error that led to the run?

    That error will have cost the Twins the game! What's going on with Escobar??? Maybe the thoughts that he should be benched when Sano returns from the DL with Nuñez allowed to start at SS are better than keeping him in at SS...

    Buxton only has 129 ABs at AAA this year & 59 ABs at AAA last year. I don't think 188 ABs is enough to say that he has proven that he can hit AAA. He still strikes out too much & had a BABIP around .400 at AAA. That level of BABIP doesn't seem sustainable.
