    Well, we still need to get 1-2* cars from here to OR.......but it isn't the same as a truck. *Well, my son and his girl friend are going to drive out this May also....we just don't know if they are driving her car, or one of our cars.....

    To be clear, I don't think putting him out there is the worst idea ever......but I do think not playing him in the OF last year was a bad idea (I think I even proposed this before last year started).

    Well, it's not like Park becoming available was a surprise. They must have scouted him, and known they would bid on him. It shows, imo, a complete lack of foresight and planning. Basically, we are giving them a pass for not knowing the trade market for Plouffe, and for signing a 29 year old rookie....as if all of that only just happened to them, and was not predictable at all......as if them taking those actions was not, in any way, their action. This all just happened to them, and it was not predictable, and there was nothing they could do about it.

    He effectively got a minor league start, pitching 4 innings. I'm not thinking this is inconsistent, yet.

    If only they had had a chance to play him in RF in the minors last year, but then, apparently, this wasn't the plan even 9 months ago.....that's the issue here. This was not the plan when last year started, otherwise he would have played OF in the minors some. The real question is, why did this become the plan? If this was even in the back of their minds, why not get him some time in the OF?

    I am pulling for Goodrum*.....no idea why, but he's always been on my follow and hope list. Here is hoping all these guys get healthy soon! * I pull for all these guys.....but some are more equal than others, as it were.

    I don't get signing a bunch of over 30 year olds that have never been that good....and not promoting the guys you have invested so much time and money in. But, now that they have, I understand why they are giving them a shot. Good luck to everyone in the minors, I hope you get to realize your dreams.

    This is the kind of thing that makes me (and some national people) say the Twins are slow to promote people, and that they sometimes start guys at way too low a level......

    So, basically, the bench has been so well built, there is not a better option than your worst hitter available? That seems sub-optimal to me.
