You either need a veteran, and lots of young cheap players, or a rookie and then you can have lots of expensive players. You can't sit a first round QB for three years anymore in the NFL. Not one you took early in the draft to be a starter. That's not how the system is set up.

Raya? Should be, 100%. I think they give Connor another year, but if they keep all their guys, why would you? If you are trying to win, get him to the majors....in the bullpen.

Likely only nets them a 2nd or 3rd...I'd try to deal a mid round pick and him for a late first, or 2nd and late pick.

They have to deal Addison, imo. They are NOT a SB team next year, and he'll want number 1 money. No way they can afford that, imo.

Agreed. Buffalo is shockingly bad for them this year. There is no elite team this year....unlike last year.

The two DTs and the C this GM just signed....I agree...but that doesn't instill confidence.

Sure, but they have to replace all those starters...with whom? They'll be lucky to get 2 in the draft. So that's money that needs to be spent, to stay even.....and you are kicking the can down the line for a bet on McCarthy.... And then they need the QB to go from worst in the NFL to average or better.

Roden. He's played some first. But I wouldn't be too disappointed if they did what you suggest.

No chance he starts as a Twin. Not with 5-6 guys and Jenkins on the roster. Plus that year of control. No chance. Options won't matter. If he's not good enough for it to not matter, it won't matter ....

That's the issue. The bad drafts have led to next year needing to replace 4-6 starters, and maybe more if you cut/trade some more starters. Not to mention every single OL has been hurt at least twice this year.....every, single, one. Can you count on them next year?

A great draft, clearly. 100% need to deal Addison and cut Hockenson, so there are two real holes (and both DTs they paid for this year, and maybe the C if he gets another concussion). Smith will finally resign, so there is another starter they need to replace. That's likely 4-6 starters they need to replace.....

He's going to have a better game today than any McCarthy has had......but we are to believe that a guy who has been professionally coached since he was 12 just needs more time to figure out basic mechanics.
