    Ya, those Ryan and Bradley trades? Yuck. Look, they aren't signing him to an extension. They aren't winning the WS this year. Trade him. The only strategy that actually works for winning it all is being in the top ten of salaries. That's not happening here. So, what to do? Maximize your odds by acquiring lots of assets and hope.

    Madness. He's a FA at the end of the year, and they aren't drawing fans ......trading him isn't going to hurt attendance. As for the QO, I'd say he MIGHT take it, also, you only get a pick a year later....and he's not in the minors, so that guy is much further away than whomever you trade for. Trading for a guy in AA (or AA and one in low A) puts them on the same schedule as their top prospects.....

    Most TV and radio broadcasting is unlistenable.... So any change, occasionally, is a good idea. Plus, given who I'm seeing on what side.... I'm confident I'm right.

    I think they will. They have nine pitchers or catchers rated 45 or 45+....

    I think they'll hold him down so he can win rookie of the year next year, maybe. Really depends on health of him and Buxton and where they are in the race.

    I think we'll know a lot more in 2-3 weeks.....but you almost have to deal Jeffers, unless you somehow can't get a good prospect for him. Ryan nets you the most, and if they are 2+ games under .500 at the deadline, should be dealt. Otherwise, I can understand them not dealing him (though I probably would). Bell and Larnach? Tough call, but I think you can deal one or both of them, even if you are in the race. Obviously, if they are well below .500, both should go. No to Clemens. He's a keeper for the next few years.

    Recently, fangraphs had an article trying to decide if we could divide runs differently, based on expected runs. I'm this case, the expected runs when rogers came in we're around 1.4, give or take. So he'd get .6 of those. I'm intrigued, though not sure I care?
