The Brewers playoff wins come when they out homer the opposition...their losses? The opposite. As to the OP, ya, I expect some kind of nostalgia push, it works in other industries (other than Tron, but who was nostalgic for that?). I expect a payroll under 100 million, and that counts 10 million to Correa! I expect a lot of losing, which most people seem to forget was what most Kelly teams did. They didn't win 48% of their games during his tenure.

My point is, they didn't miss anything by him not being there. Not that there weren't worse players. I get it. For many people here, trading the present for the future is always wrong.

They last one is awful. But not surprising.

Definitely hoped for that. Plus Winokur will never play SS for Minnesota. Put him at third or first or the OF.

Great point. Alas, they have zero QBs ready or able to do that this year, imo. Agree strongly it's a bad match between McCarthys readiness and the rest of the roster.

Polanco put up .3 war..... I'm not sure how that works have saved 2024.

How do you expect any team to build a roster other than prospects? I'm truly baffled by the prospect hate on this site.

Maybe the complete lack of talent is the issue?

Polanco was bad last year, and they didn't win many games. He was a FA, and got less money this year than last......Anyone could have signed him for what he made the previous year, and no one did. Gonzalez tore up the minors this year, and is what, 22? This trade wasn't about the short term at all. I fail to see how we can say MN got nothing but money at this point?

Who said anything about the long term at all? However, I never loved the pick, and remain doubtful. He was never THE MAN in Michigan the O was built around.....is any great NFL QB not a huge passer in college?
