  1. Sure, when Buxton can play center. This whole thread is about him not being able to right now, so I don't understand this post. And, no, Miranda can't hit AAA pitching right now. There is zero reason for him to be in MN. I also don't get the Solano love.....Julien is the DH if Buxton isn't.
  2. Surgery coming, again. Was a good risk, that might not work....so "everyone" here can rip them for that too.....
  3. It told me I had already voted? Did my amusing rankings make it?
  4. How do we check prospect status? Is Varland still a prospect, for example?
  5. I have no idea why Severino isn't in AAA. He's an actual prospect......I am not at all happy with the decisions of this FO re: who is in AAA right now.
  6. Fair question. I think Wallner is likely better at hitting than Buxton, but I don't know that. I expect polanco to be up in the next few weeks, then what?
  7. It hurts the ranking when Lewis and Julien lose their prospect status. But they both have six years of control left, and are basically prospects contract wise at this point. But yes, that's not great. I'll bet real money they are much higher at fangraphs. Much.
  8. I expect them to send him to AAA so he can sit next to Larnach and Wallner and they can all be frustrated together.
  9. Buxton isn't close to the best DH option in the team. I'm baffled anyone can say that. No new news here, just what we've known all along. If they thought he could play out there, he would Anyone ripping the contract is posting in bad faith. Given what was known at the time, it was a reasonable gamble.
  10. In less than 1 year we've seen the limits of a player......wow.
  11. I'll be shocked if Julien plays in the OF unless every other option is injured during a game.
  12. It does make one wonder ...betts played a position he's never played this year, to help the team, and Lewis can't be bothered to play the OF....
  13. Fangraphs has Jenkins 81 overall.....I doubt they've really updated the overall board though, so that might go up or down slightly....
  14. How many arms not named Varland would they need to include? I don't think the Cards are dealing him......
  15. That's my point. No rental was as good as Gray, so we don't know what Gray brings back. I think technically Castillo was, but they had an agreement in place, clearly, but I could be wrong.
  16. I just don't think they are moving on from MAT......nor am I sure they should. It wouldn't kill me....but I think if you add Polanco at third and Larnach in left, then Lewis at third and Polanco at 2B and Julien at DH (bench Buxton, he's not as good a hitter as Julien), that they could score a run a game more than they are right now w/o fixing CF .... assuming CC returns to near CC level as a hitter and Jeffers plays 60% of the time. Would I like more, like Kepler also gone and Williams at first and AK in Right? Yes. With all that, if they still can't hit, we have a lot of info on next year and beyond, and haven't really lost anything this year (since you can't win playoff games scoring less than 3 runs a game 40% of the time anyway).
  17. Other than Stevenson, I'm good with that plan. I really do think they should consider putting Buxton on the IL, and putting Polanco at third when he's healthy.
  18. Most rentals aren't as good as Gray....I just looked at 2022, and there were two trades with better players (Soto and Castillo deals).....I don't know if we know what Gray would bring back for sure. Less than Castillo for sure, but more than most. I mean, if they can't get a 45 value prospect (or better) they need to keep him and offer the QO, assuming he doesn't fall on his face the rest of the year.
