  1. Packers runners have been pushing through that first contact all day. In a vacuum, that might be a top talking point.
  2. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston looking like a Pro Bowler today (thought he was out of the league five years ago)
  3. Avoid all websites! 🙂 …this is one of my last ones…
  4. Yeah we can go back and find lots of receipts, Jordan Love is horrible, etc. Even on KFAN people like Mark Rosen after week two were saying things like “what are the Bears going to do with Caleb Williams.” Obviously there is something wrong with the offense right now but people try way too hard,
  5. Anyone opposed to running the two minute no huddle the rest of the game? Otherwise I feel a huge McCarthy mistake coming,
  6. Alright well only 4 long field goals away from taking the lead.
  7. It’s hard to watch this team fight and scrap, week after week, just to get to 6 points at halftime.
  8. But can you explain to the ordinary stupid fan like me why he didn’t just keep it normal there?
  9. Hey everyone: let’s get cute!!!’ again!
  10. HONEST TO ****ING GOD THIS GUY
  11. In 1998, Vikings would run a screen to Robert Smith about once a game. It almost always went for massive yardage, and more than once, all the way to the house. / grumpy old man
  12. I did read the first three words, and thought “someone’s having fun with the over/under” 🙂
  13. There must be speaking in shorthand, or something lost in translation. I would imagine overhauling a quarterback’s mechanics would be a last resort, like asking a pitcher to change his delivery. I have a long list of excuses lined up to defend McCarthy with, but needing to relearn how to throw a football is not one of them. Also I don’t have a football eye so who knows.
  14. I’m a McCarthy bobo (or, I can already tell I will be labeled one) but yeah I can buy into this timeline. Depending on 2026, I can see going into 2027 with a veteran FA as the #1, McCarthy #2 or battling for #1 with one more season to prove something here, and #3 as the new QB draft pick.
  15. Welp, this is what I signed up for. The growing pains. Improvement can look like a light switch. Suddenly it's just 'on'. Like that last drive today. However, given everything, I don't expect something like consistency from McCarthy until the offseason and next year. You can look at a lot of QBs who struggled in a big way in their first season. Stafford, Brees, the Mannings, etc
  16. My outside friend football observer says the same. Also has been saying that it’s a winnable division for the Vikings with our players on the field. It doesn’t feel like it to me, but heck, the Bears are a good week out of first place now.
  17. Better to try to rein in a wild kid like McCarthy, than try to coax a timid kid out of his shell. (Not that the NFL is full of timid QBs but we have seen them, for sure). In that vein, it will be interesting to see how long Darnold maintains his performance. I don’t know if he was the timid type before he came to the Vikings, or just bad / or in bad situations. I know he made the seeing ghosts comment. It will be interesting to see Darnold’s playoff performance. If he continues on a high level this season, and McCarthy can put it together this season, then sure, heat the QB discussion to rolling boil. But it’s bizarre people are already positioning to call McCarthy a bust. We can rant and rave, but on the whole, I don’t think there’s any question KOC is a good to great coach. Not every year is going to be “your year” and it seems last year should have been ours.
  18. The first part of the 3rd Quarter sounded like a "pull them off the field" moment
  19. I like the directness of this post. In that spirit here are my thoughts. I did not think a worse decision could ever be made for the organization than when Pohlad authorized that 6 year deal for Correa. However, I was wrong. Trading Varland, Jax and Duran, which equated to 10 seasons of team control of good relief pitching, trading those three for spare parts was even worse.
  20. I like knowing McCarthy is making decisions on the fly already, even if they backfire. With Jefferson and KOC he has good people around him to help him. It’s a compete 180 from the days of Cousins not doing audibles claiming Zimmer didn’t want him to, and then Zimmer pointing the finger back at Cousins.
  21. because this game needs more drama
  22. Bieber pitching for Jay, Vlad on third as tying run & one out
