It was, terrible. Williams obviously didn’t see a green jersey anywhere. I expected a wide open Bear, but nope. I thought Williams was going to scramble to the sideline for a first down. Great game by the Bears and their running game especially.

That was a Cam Ward / Shedeur Sanders matchup. Just looking at the stat sheet, Sanders had the better individual game by far.

Before the week 1 opener I joked that JJM and the VIkes should come out on offense in a no huddle hurry-up. Then before the last Packers game, I said the same thing but not completely joking that time. What do people think? On something or on to something? Do the Vikings script the first 10 offensive plays? Is that still a thing around the league?

I really don’t know. The two of you know this stuff far better than I do. I do know we need a QB1 for next season. Unless JJ McCarthy runs the table somehow. (I might also text Scarlett Johansson and see if she wants to hang out tonight)

Well, yes and no. I just think that most NFL teams are trying to win most of the time. Sure, there are a few high profile cases, what Miami did to Flores, Indy’s Suck for Luck season, but I really think those are few and far between. I think it’s more of a fan thing. You guys seem to think tanking is some strategy all GM’s have in their back pocket, like “Break Glass in case of emergency.” It’s not. We are also not late enough in the season to see that jostling for higher draft position when teams start to shelve their better players and actually go for competitive losses, which is still somewhat rare I would argue. Maybe still a couple weeks away from that and the NFL mitigates that by scheduling rivalry games late in the year. Good to see teams like Chicago and Denver making a run but I dont think they were tanking, they were just mediocre/bad for a while. Given the cyclical nature of the NFL, probably a few of these surprise teams will fall back under .500 again next year.

I guess that's why I like Dan Gladden *ducks & runs* At least Gladden is a "Next man up" kind of guy who looks at performance first and foremost. Sure, not an easy spot for Brosmer, I get it. -

I don't know if you are a Hate-watch guy, but that could be an option. Just based on the Vikings radio announcers talking about Brosmer like he's a charity case doing the best job he possibly can under impossible circumstances etc -

I would have been curious to hear everyone's decision there, in real time. I didn't have a strong feeling (best that happens is a TD!) but also, a 3-3 game and keep harassing Darnold until halftime would have sounded good too
