It’s crazy that Darnold is in the exact same spot this year, as he was last year. Playing a final regular season game with a #1 seed on the line vs. going on the road as a wild card.

I don't really know what the perfect comps are but I think Johnson and Wilson were much better than what Brosmer is now. You do make a good point about Brock Purdy. If Purdy is not selected with that last pick, he may have been consigned to bouncing around as a backup and never getting his big break or big moment. Josh Dobbs got his moment. Caleb Hanie (remember him?) got his moment - coming in to the 2010 NCF Champtionship game as the Bears 3rd string guy, and slinging it. Ultimately those guys weren't good enough to stick except in emergencies and doesn't look like Brosmer will be either.

It’s too bad the four teams aren’t packed together just a bit closer, going into the final week. It could have been a crazy final week.

I mean, Rivers stepped in and is doing better than expected. I don’t know what San Fran’s game plan is for the first & second half or the intimate details about their personnel, but I expect San Fran to win tonight.

I hate to say this but yeah, at this stage, i am really counting on that 4th place schedule next year. It’s the difference between getting the Giants again versus a rebounding Washington team, and getting the Cardinals instead of SF/LAR/Seattle. Huge. (I think I have those divisional rotations right.) Any body know how the NFL schedules that 17th game? That could be huge too with a 4th place schedule. n/m it was in @Vanimal46 post — Tennessee versus Colts. I saw the Tweet but missed the AFC one.

You are 100% correct about this. Personally, I can’t be any more entertained than when watching a MLB Game 7 like we did this fall, but that’s just me. The other big sports have their stories and moments but NFL has been king for a long time, and there is nothing else close.

On the other hand, he did say "People hate our f***ing guts and they have every right to"..... which buys 6-8 months of credibility with me. When was the last time you heard a billionaire say that lol. That's as much of a housecleaning statetment as we are going to get. I don't expect them to spend any money this year. I would like to see a Jeffers extension, if anything. -
