  1. Also, sounds like the Jose Ramirez situation took care of itself
  2. ballgame Texas!
  3. Twins chances to make the wild card are slim. But regardless of what happens tonight, they will go into the final series of the season mathematically alive for it. The final series!
  4. Is that anywhere near BFE, by chance?
  5. Concur. No way. Sounds like the dugout was venting some steam because they were losing, but it's all business tomorrow.
  6. Seattle right fielder does Oswaldo Arcia impression while blindfolded rollerskating on banana peels, allows Houston to take lead in 7th.
  7. I already said something nice earlier in the thread, so no need to repeat myself After the All Star break, the Twins went 4-9 when Pelfrey started. He didn't pitch that horribly in all of them, but I'd play all 13 of those games over, in a heartbeat.
  8. Gibby is one batter away from a quick, quiet 5th. More like this please.
  9. the lineup is lacing the ball all over the place and these guys still wait on the sac bunt. It's comical sometimes.
  10. I suggest Ryan's first offer to Hunter this offseason: 3/38
  11. All of this, without the aid of a sacrifice bunt!!!
  12. then stay tuned for our new spinoff "Infielders in the Outfield: Cleveland" at 9:30, 8:30 Central
  13. LOL Mauer hit's a home run. EDIT: LOL Mauer hits a home run!!
  14. It's like a little league tournament--- win the first game today, and we get to play another one right after it, and do a lot of peeking over at the other field to see how the orange team is doing. Lose both games today, and we all drive home tonight grumpy and tired.
  15. yeah, Molitor isn't going to sit an MVP on the bench
  16. Mariners held on, but oddly no change in the standings. Angels and Houston switch spots. Angels play a four game against the Rangers to close the season and with the Angels winning streak the Twins are 100% Rangers fans at this point. Also this thread is a minor miracle.
  17. But you are okay with the vuvuzelas?
  18. I agree completely. Sano is MVP. His net WPA, when prorated through an entire season, rates about 6th or 7th in the majors. That's Miguel Cabrera, Bryce Harper, Mike Trout territory. And the homer in Kansas City could become one of those iconic home runs we remember for years (after the championships have been won). I disagree on ROY, however. I think rookie of the year is Eddie Rosario. I just think what Rosario brought to the outfield and of course his hitting was just as valuable overall as what Sano contributed. (Don't ask me how that works, rating Sano the team MVP but only the second best rookie )
  19. Well we can't gain ground on Houston when we win, maybe a rainout will get us a half game closer!
  20. forward it to me when you get it? (Ryan still did too little, grumble)
