  1. Anyone know if StatCast collects data on catcher throw velocity? I'd be interested in seeing how A.J. and Suzuki stack up against the league average. All the Twins catchers for that matter. This is not a knock on Suzuki, since I'm ok with him one more season, but it seems like his throws to bases don't get there as quick as they need to. Also I still don't recall a time he's picked a runner off a base.
  2. Sorry Doc, I do not agree that catcher is the biggest concern position right now, though I think Suzuki has a player option for an additional season if he plays a certain number of games in 2016. I think the Twins would be smart to work in some other guys more often and give Suzuki more time off. For sure. We saw how well ("well" in quotes) Herrmann and Fryer played when they got regular playing time for short periods. Also Pinto needs to be in the mix.
  3. Or at least until AJ retires
  4. Arizona Diamondbacks doing their best Washington Generals impersonation, so win or lose it's gonna be tough. I'm hitting the showers with Ervin Santana. Bring it on home, Twins Daily friends.
  5. Damm I wanted Young to pitch to Dozier one more time. Because I can say with 100% certainty that Dozier would have went deep on him!
  6. I heard it--Bert said "major league level"! Everybody take your Coors, Fosters, Sam Adams, Molsons (if from Canada) and drink
  7. I hope this (lack of) activity on the game thread isn't a foreboding of the end of the Twins season. Because I was promised a fairy tale. I demand a fairy tale!
  8. Houston in the 1st inning, threatening to make the Twins and Angels games moot.
  9. Chris Young is a big nothing pitcher. Lots of guys are hitting hard hit balls but right at the third baseman. And hopefully we see one more inning of him.
  10. CBU Royals-Twins 1-1 bottom 5 CBU Angels-Rangers 1-1 bottom 5
  11. HAHA we all pulled the silent treatment on you twinsnorth49!! Now imagine everybody comes laughing and runs your head.
  12. Yes. Just hold it. It was hit too soft to come to the plate. What can you do.
  13. Ok we still got this. Santana pitching fine. Just no more lead off doubles for the Royals.
  14. Dammit. Dozier has him timed tonight just hasn't gotten it straightened out. Third times a charm.
  15. Good for Twins, as Young does not have his stuff tonight (not that he ever had much to begin with) Also this post is certified jinx proof
  16. Tyler Duffey is cute and everything, but can we watch the game please Fox?
  17. There's a movement afoot in other markets to have those seats filled, even if not by the legal ticket holders. Giving them to kids and such. Tomorrow's Twins game is national so hopefully the Twins ticket office gets off their rears and makes sure those seats get used
  18. I hate that fox track strike zone of 9 different flat sections. Real strike zones have dimension. Those curves to Zobrist broke through the front corner of the plate. I know this because I am sitting up in the blimp above home plate
  19. On the heels of Justin Bieber and barbershop quartets, I present, from England....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
  20. On August 1st, Texas was under .500, in third place and 8 games back in the West. Anything can happen, and often does.
  21. Rangers still have a win to play for. And being a intradivision series, I don't think Texas would have any problem keeping the heat on the Angels on high, if and when they do clinch.
