Trevor May can come off the DL in a week. Why not give him a couple starts in Rochester to stretch out for the rotation.
  2. Hosken Bombo Disco
Yes. I want good things for Esco.
  3. Hosken Bombo Disco
    Ugly.

And unfortunately our All Star rep Nunez, who will go to the All Star game as the first player ever under the position "pinch runner", is in a 3-18 mini slide since the Anaheim series.
  5. Hosken Bombo Disco
Damn, and I had an answer prepared....

The good news is we DO get to keep the 2 wins Arcia won for us on walk off hits this year.

It's the Twins call when to start the game. So then we let the Yankees burn Tanaka and we have an excuse to pull Dean before he faces the lineup the second time through

Sometimes I wonder if the Twins should just start the damn game and worry about the rain when it actually comes, or if it comes at all as was the case earlier this season. Might be a competitive advantage to have the storm come in the 3rd or 4th anyway tonight.

Amazing predictive powers! Tell us, who do you foresee winning tonight? wait, don't answer that

Agree with all of this. Especially on Arcia's attitude. Lots of energy and overconfidence which rubbed many people the wrong way. I'm not in the clubhouse but I never sensed it crossed the line. Arcia was always one of the guys holding the Gatorade bucket after fun wins. Always on the top step wanting his teammates to succeed. In three years he went from snapping bats over his knee to not snapping bats over his knee. That's maturity right there. Without knowing for sure, I will guess that Arcia was the closest thing we had to a Torii Hunter after Hunter left. I will miss him!

"If Sano's glove don't fit..." You set that one up for me, didn't you
  12. Hosken Bombo Disco
Yep. It will feel like a huge win when Sano is finally taken out of the outfield when really it's just the correction of a mistake, though arguably it was worth trying.
  13. Hosken Bombo Disco
maybe the high note in the national anthem?
  14. Hosken Bombo Disco
Don't give up yet..... at least wait until Plouffe gets signed long term and Sano banished to the outfield forever
  15. Hosken Bombo Disco
    Agreed.

After watching Grossman and Kepler in the Angles finale, I'm not even sure Arcia wasn't our best fielding corner outfielder at this point.
  17. Hosken Bombo Disco
I think Gardy should guest-manage a game this series
  18. Hosken Bombo Disco
Fine, but Perkins was throwing bullpens. The experience you described was throwing anything over handed at all. I don't always jump to 1500 for Twins news so it does help.
  19. Hosken Bombo Disco
For an extra 99 cents you could throw in a hyperlink next time.
  20. Hosken Bombo Disco
Thank you for the really good context. However I don't think that describes what Perkins was experiencing.
  21. Hosken Bombo Disco
Or we could Herrmann Arcia for a corner outfielder. You can never have too much corner outfielding.
  22. Hosken Bombo Disco
cherry pick much? You realize there are different people arguing different sides in these discussions? In any case you left out probably the biggest one with the biggest consensus: move Sano to 3rd and/or trade Plouffe. Also you mention that if we want a really good player like Lucroy, we would have to trade our future for him. Trading our future is starting to sound like a really good idea.
  23. Hosken Bombo Disco
    He's got a sneaky fastball I bet
  24. Hosken Bombo Disco
Maybe the Angels will send Shane Robinson to the mound for the ninth?
  25. Hosken Bombo Disco
Remember in April when the excuse was we had faced Baltimore, KC, and the tough part of the schedule? Good times Oh, Yankees come into town this weekend. Maybe Gardy will guest-manage a couple games for us.
