  1. I really enjoy listening to Cory Provus Fridays on Inforum on YouTube. He's more blunt than he would normally be on the broadcast. Today he talked about ERod's show of joy/emotion and contrasted that with the team's lack of energy and specifically Royce: "You don't see it much from Royce anymore. ... he's had a bad finish." He doesn't think Royce is a lock at first next year either, and said the defense/run prevention needs to improve. "Teams are running at will against the Twins. Enough is enough. Come on." Also agrees that we have too many utility players. Predicts Keaschall will play left field next year.
  2. At least the Lewis family winery (which is called...wait for it...The Winery?) got some free pub during last night's broadcast. You know he would love go back to any of the SoCal teams. Probably even the Giants... Well, I'll always smile thinking of Royce's walk-off against the Royals when he told Audra, while surrounded by his teammates, "We love each other." Awww....those were the days.
  3. While you're at it, get Ron Washington over here as an infield coach.
  4. Laughing at this game recap being filed under "Twins Minor League Coverage" on the TD homepage. Throwing shade?;)
  5. As a Bell guy, I must admit he's come up short a lot in key moments over the last month+. Of course, you could insert almost every name in our lineup in the previous sentence.
  6. Good to see young Walker was paying attention to Mr. Carew's wisdom during his pregame speech. Sounds like another winnable game that slipped away though. Oof. West coast woes continue.
  7. Random thought: So they had Dave Winfield on for about 4 minutes because of a quick inning and then bemoaned the fact he had to leave so quickly and he had a busy schedule. When they do these in-game interviews that last a half-inning, why not just arrange to have the guest on for, say, 10 minutes, regardless of how long the inning goes? Could've just had him stay through the 2-3 minute commercial break and stay on for another 5 minutes or so.
  8. No need whatsoever to rush on that grounder, either, considering Vic is one of the slowest runners in the league. Good win, I guess? At this point, I'll take a record that's under 90 losses.
  9. Pablo checks every box for what the Clemente award exemplifies. He even rattled off the first names of the Twins community relations staff last night with ease. He must win this award. And I want him to be a Twin for life, as a player, ambassador, coach - he's even manager material. Figure it out, Tom P.
  10. Hopefully Ross can at least do what Fedko couldn't and get his first career hit.
  11. Yup. Fun while it lasted. See ya when we see ya, KC.
  12. Dude looks totally defeated in those post-game pressers. I've felt bad for Audra, too: "Derek, another tough loss tonight..."
  13. Since Aug. 1, when the Twins were, in Royce's words, "on cloud nine" after finally getting over. 500 (and still riding the high from Kody's ultimate grand slam), we've gone on a pair of three game winning "streaks." Outside of that, I can't recall another time we've won consecutive games. Total nightmare of a stretch. The wheels sure enough fell off. Well, at least we didn't have World Series expectations like Seattle. Of course, Seattle actually got their act together enough to beat us with two walkoffs. So it goes...
  14. And to think…I thought “rock bottom” was losing 2/3 against the A’s in Sacramento.
  15. A guy who wasn’t on the big league roster 6 days ago is our best hitter. Got it.
  16. Dang, the way this Wild Card race is going, 82 wins give or take might get you in. It seemed impossible 10 days ago, but I wouldn’t count Detroit out. What a golden opportunity we have blown.
  17. The pickoff notwithstanding, I do wonder the domino effect had E-Rod not been injured. Probably would’ve been up late May/early June? Where would they had put Keaschall? Larnach probably gets traded. He is clearly showing he belongs.
  18. You were at the game, right? I'm pretty sure I heard you cough in the 7th inning.
  19. Forget the overall record - since our last three homers have been solo shots, I'm pretty confident we've overtaken the top spot of highest percentage of solo home runs in 2026.
  20. I'm also looking forward to sleeping through the back half of some of the West Coast night games;)
