  1. It's a fun list of young players which makes it all the more frustrating that there is such a long log jam of LH OF on the 40 man right now. Erod & Gabby Gonzalez are already on the 40 man but clearly are a fun part of the pipeline. FYI Ariel Castro was released on July 29th of last year, a bad International Signee unfortunately as he never made it out of the FCL
  2. Pretty sure Cory Lewis shoulder issue was 2024, not 2025. Regardless, hope it doesn't turn into something more serious. The walks last year are downright unbelievable but doesn't mean he should be given up on quite yet!
  3. Yes SWR is a lock as the 4th starter if no one gets traded between now and March. I would like to see Taj at 5, Festa moved to the pen and everyone else stored at AAA. I know people will get upset with wasting Zebby's arm at AAA but he will be next man up when someone inevitably goes down. He deserves 1 more year long chance as a starter as well I will say 5 will go to whoever performs best out of Zebby and Taj in spring training, though, after Taj returns from the WBC
  4. Calling him "elite" feels a little aggressive but it's a good pickup that immediately makes us better. Go grab Michael Kopech and you have a solid bullpen
  5. They used to. He isn't eligible on a lot of lists any more due to service time. I believe he got as high as 40's in previous seasons
  6. I am extremely hyped for KC and believe he will be a Twin for a long time. If he figures out the groundballs, the sky is the limit. Figuring out the chasing off speed would just be an added bonus. Not sure where he plays but he should be in the lineup 2027 (if there's a season) daily That being said, I know a lot of people are going to hate this but Brooks Lee is my comeback player of the year prediction for the Twins. I hope his bat takes off to what it was always projected to be, and I think while he is slow he is more serviceable at SS than he is given credit for. It comes natural to him even if the speed & agility does not
  7. I understand why people feel that way, but we already know we never would have paid him and he only had 2 years of team control left. Mason Miller for example had a larger return due to having 4 years of team control left His is still arguably a top 5 closer but his velocity has slowly fallen, so due to these two factors I think getting 2 top 100 prospects is a fair return. Although if Tait shows up in A+ this next year and can't hit the ball I will start to agree with you Long way of saying I think the return was fair but not mind blowing like De Vries for Miller was
  8. They signed him to a 2 year MiLB deal, so he'll have a few more chances even though he is missing spring again
  9. I'm a big Mick Abel believer, this kid deserves another shot in the majors and it will come this year (even if he most likely won't be with the Twins to start the season). The stuff is there, I hope he uses the most out of his next opportunity to force the Twins hands as he could be a legit #2 with #1 (not quite ace) upside The Duran trade hurt, and I am not yet sold on Tait, but this kid could make it look way better way sooner The type you could see starting a future playoff game
  10. Here's the problem, if we didn't blow up the pen more people would be saying the offseason was fine/decent for the Twins. It is hard to give anything higher than a D when you barely added to what is now one of your weakest points. I like Bell, I like Caratini, I don't hate some of the fringe players they brought in because they have better underlying metrics than their stats, but you needed to bolster the bullpen with more than you did, and you needed to trade a LH OF. It's just an incomplete roster. Not to mention I would have loved a Jeffers extension. Honestly just extending anyway would have helped morale
  11. Move Festa to the pen, give Zebby another chance as a starter pls
  12. I'd love to seem them give Roden a chance. Larnach should still be traded before the season starts which opens that avenue. If you don't trade him, Roden should play over Outman we all know it To those comparing him to DaShawn Keirsey, my response would be Roden has been better at every minor league level. Keirsey would have him on speed and fielding and that's it Make the outfield Buxton, Wallner, Martin, Roden and you're already more athletic which is what they've been preaching, then you got Gabby, ERod & Jenkins ready to come up when injuries occur
  13. Read entire comments before commenting on them
  14. Nolan McLean didnt get called up until he was 24 as a top prospect, Hunter Barco until he was 25, every prospect is different and giving up on him at 23 is a flaw of Twins fans It should have nothing to do with "off years" in your eyes, 23 is still young for baseball prospect status
  15. Did I mention any of them in my post? No, I talked about the 23 year olds only. I am a strong supporter of Festa to the pen. Zebby I want to get another shot as a starter, the stuff isn't matching results so give him one last chance. Prielipp I am 50/50 on but if you can keep him a start (because he keeps adding new pitches, rumor is he's adding a 5th), and if you are confident about the elbow, I would try to keep him starting as long as possible. If he ends up a reliever to stay healthy like Festa I understand
  16. Read through the comments, you will see the fanbase disagrees or some do. There are guys, including a guy liking your comments, asking for at least 3+ of our depth to be moved to the pen. It is better to keep them in AAA "wasting bullets" as starters then move everyone to the pen. Look at Bubba Chandler last year as a prime example. Keep your starter quality youth as starters as long as possible. When they fail in the bigs is when you move them to the pen. Duran is the only example of us not doing that. Jax, Louie, Sands, all of the older guys come up as starters always
  17. Assuming they will magically become "top end relievers" is hilarious You are more valuable as a starter. Period
  18. It's crazy to me that Twins fans want to give up on Raya after 1 off season in AAA as a *checks notes* 22 year old for most of the season. He is 23 and will be until August. Guess what has more value in trades, AAA young starters, or AAAA relievers? Stop trying to move every starting pitcher to the pen and immediately counting them out Same can be said for Kendry Rojas, he was 22 all of last season and will spend the entire 2026 season as a 23 year old. Do we not realize as a fan base how impressive it is to even make it to AAA at 22? It would be better to trade pitchers than move everyone to the pen like these comments tend to want to do
  19. Moving 3 starters to the pen is out of the question and would just be malpractice, you would be destroying their value
  20. Not a ton of upper minor talent, but plenty of lottery tickets lower down. Wouldn't mind seeing Schobel getting more chances at 2B over 3B unless his arm is really that good. I really would love to see DeBarge take a step forward this next year, he started really strong and just progressively fell off all season at the plate. BTW Barrios slash line was .254/.352/.361. If you look by month it paints the whole picture, really struggled his first month but bounced back. Real test starts in the FCL.
  21. FYI to anyone interested, Spotrac currently has us at $6,290,000 spent of $7,357,100, so $1,067,100 remaining. Could make sense if Angel Ozuna gets 500k of that still. What's weird is these numbers don't mirror the MLB.com article, so I wonder if some are estimate? Regardless, it's the best we have https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/international/_/year/2026/team/min
  22. The top 9 signings from MLB.com's list add up to $5,302,500, which left them with $2,054,600 to work with on the other 11. Also, if the Angel Ozuna signing happens that's 500k of that. The other names on this list that aren't on the MLB list add up to 435k, which supposedly leaves them with $1,119,600 if all my math was correct for the other however many remaining guys (if I didn't double up math anywhere) https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-international-prospects-signing-day-2026
  23. I've been looking on twitter for Angel Ozuna news as well, if anyone finds something let us know! Wondering if that year long suspension just isn't quite done yet and the signing will come later?
