  1. If the Twins can unlock a bit more velo to Mitrovich he’ll become a fascinating prospect. The changeup is already nasty

  3. Jamie having to compliment Gabby Gonzalez mission impossible 😂 Excited for all these guys, what a fun Saints game
  4. Plenty of arms in St. Paul could be let go, it is definitely time to give Culpepper a look at AAA as soon as possible. Don't think you will find a single fan on this page that disagrees
  5. I wasn't sold on Tait last year, but I am glad he seems to be proving me wrong. He should stay at A+ most of this year, but would love to see a promotion by the end of the year if he continues to hit like this. Hope the defense continues to grow as well Mendez & Olivar both should be at AAA. There is nothing more for either to prove at AA. Mendez has a line of guys in front of him in the OF which just continues to be a pain due to the Twins not moving on from Outman and 1 of Wallner / Larnach yet. I hope they both get moved up ASAP
  6. Every pitcher is different. Some have wacky arm slots, some how extension to be deceptive, etc. If you are Zebby and you don't have that velo you clearly arn't fooling anyone anymore is his issue. Velo is not end all be all, but for Zebby it seems to be the difference between being quad A or being a major leaguer. I'm not cheering against him, this is just what his performances have shown
  7. I always wonder if the statcast pitches are just extremely inaccurate, or are low level umps that bad? If they are accurate, maybe Dasan's stuff is just too good for those umps to see. I am not concerned Ian Daugherty had 2 homeruns last season FYI, wasn't his first professional HR
  8. I think his trade value is too low right now. I've always been a big Royce fan, even have a jersey, but he definitely is not "untouchable" anymore. Hopefully he comes back and continues to play well. Make it a tough choice for us!
  9. His FIP was a 3.79 last year even if the ERA was looking ugly. now that the velo is gone, his FIP is in the 8's in AAA
  10. Feels pretty simple, get velo back & he's fine, velo doesn't return & he's cooked
  11. You hear announcers describe how easy it looks for some guys to throw hard. Ever since we got Acton I can't help but think how difficult it looks for him to hit 94. Still liked the article, lets see what the Twins can do with him. Kind of worried he will struggle to put away lefties with just a FA&SL but what do I know
  12. Great day for Derek Falvey! Tait showing up and now is the best hitter OPS wise for the Kernels as one of the youngest players in A+. Mendez is starting to look the part and hopefully moves up to AAA soon. Is Moring another Twins late round diamond? Hope he gets to move up to A+ eventually to find out. Can Marek keep hitting? I really hope so and think so! It's early so no need to panic, but it's an unusually high about of K's for Diaw so far. Hope he bounces back soon. Winokur & DeBarge have also gone quiet after awesome starts
  13. All good to disagree. It is fine to take a mentality of "go young" and I understand that, but if you take that position you can't expect a young team to compete. Teams always need vets to compete. A team of all of the best rookies would lose to a team of average vets. I see Joe, Jeffers & Pablo (hopefully with Buck forever) as a solid foundation to grow around while still "going young" but having the necessary vets and experience all teams need.
  14. Huge fan of Dameury, was very disappointed last year and had to keep reminding myself he was only 19. The bat to ball skills are so impressive, and he has athleticism on top of it. Very exciting combo. He doesn't have Chandler Simpson speed by any means but he can try to carve out on OBP niche like him
  15. Extend Jeffers, extend Joe Ryan, and honestly given the injury question marks maybe even extend Pablo and the fans will return to you in full force Mr. Pohlad. Extend one of your young studs (Keaschall? Jenkins?) and show the fans you care. I was one of the 4%'ers but this is how you start to get the rest back
  16. Why was that the photo chosen 🤣 I get the concept of this thought, but I disagree. Give me Roden even if it just means another lefty bat.
  17. For me right now, it's either Roch or Emerson if they fall, and then Flora at 3 if they don't. I wouldn't hate Lackey of course but I would love a college pitching prospect who already looks like he has front of a lineup potential. Not only that, if his hit on the pool is lower than others, you go grab 2-3 guys for over slot later and that's a successful draft projection. I don't know if I am as in on Bell yet. Sad to see LeBron drop but the SEC #'s just aren't there (yet)
  18. 6+ innings 100+ pitches every game since I believe, guess they heard you!
  19. I don't know if a changeup heavy starter with a FB under 90 can find success for an entire season, but I'm going to hope for the best
  20. I think the list for order by possible upside is: 1. Soto 2. Hill 3. Prielipp 4. Rojas 5. Quick HM. Ellwanger Not a huge difference but I think Soto has the highest upside and volatility in the system for possible outcomes
  21. Maannn Sim looked good today, that homerun he gave up was a wild swing from Caminero, no clue how he got all of that. Don't blame the bullpen for the deficiency of the bats right now. Need Keaschall and Buxton to get out of their slumps or nothing else really matters. Baseball is a game of momentum and really only those two & Royce create their own (maybe Wallner too). Gotta get it back
