    Hmm, I wrote this opener after less than 5 hours of sleep and three two? time zone changes, yet it almost makes sense.

    Disclaimer: The management of the hotel would like to apologize to all and sundry about the unfortunate boxer incident of this morning. In fact, we will now add another rule, known as the "Christopher Lloyd" rule when it comes to sitting in the lobby of our hotel. Pant and combing of the hair will be required. Sorry for the any inconvenience. -Hotel Management.

    I got up this morning, thrilled the Twins swept a three game series from Seattle. Then, someone whispered in my ear and said, "Blake. It was a 4 game series and since when was Sunday an off day?" "Oh, and the Twins dropped the last game of the series." "Bummer," I replied. Which caused a bunch of people sitting near me to turn and look at me in a strange manner. I quickly tried to mask the fact I had replied out loud to my inner voice by pretending I was using my cell phone but, that didn't exactly work either because it was then I realized I was sitting in the hotel lobby in my boxers while writing this post. Traveling across multiple time zones has obviously scrambled what little is left of the aging gray cells. Anyway, the Twins taking 3 out of 4 from Seattle was fun to watch but, now they travel south to take on the Angels. A team that is flawed but has a couple of the most exciting players in baseball, Mike Trout and Ohtani. (no, I'm not going to try and spell his first name) I'm looking forward to this series against the Angels, though, I hope Mr. Trout and Mr. Ohtani to their thing against other teams and not the Twins. Some things to think about: 1: Byron Buxton: Finally breaking out? 2. Martin Perez: Looking like quite the find. 3. Jason Casto can actually hit? 4. C.J. Cron. Didn't know who he was when acquired, but do now. Pitching for the Twins: Mike Odorizzi Pitching for the Angels: Taylor Cole 5. Play ball!

    Good job by a very good baseball team. I just called the Twins a "very good baseball team." Let that sink in for a moment.

    Had to leave this thread early, due to the time change. Going from PST to CST tends to scramble things. Fortunately, the game was, as I expected, pretty much in hand when I hit the hay. I was pretty confident with the score being 15-0 at the time I checked out. With that:

    Don't know if it's been mentioned, but the Seattle catcher needs to get some framing training. The obviously "snatch into the strike zone" isn't going to cut it. Especially when the glove moves 6 to 8 inches.

    Just heard Latroy say the pitcher has more innings pitched than hits. He said that just before the 2nd inning started. Probably going to invert that particular statement this evening.
