  1. RB, actually, I think adding Mastroianni to the roster is an example of picking over the cart and choosing the almost dead rather than mostly dead.
  2. I don't scream on roller coasters either. Mainly because I don't ride them.
  3. Or, how about a hard throwing lefty from the farm system? (I believe there is one, if I'm not mistaken)
  4. I saw somewhere earlier this year that the Twins had completely mishandled Tonkin. Which makes me wonder about the Tonkin's ceiling and just what the Twins have done to screw him up. It was one of those things you just think okay, sure, whatever you say..but with the way this season is unfolding..yikes!! One more thing: It also makes me wonder just how much difference Torii Hunter made in the clubhouse last year.
  5. I'll settle for mediocre with flashes of eptness.
  6. Who gets the stove box and who gets the refrigerator box? Winter is almost here, you know.
  7. Hey, Molitor had his one year honeymoon! Bring on the pitchforks!
  8. I'm wondering if I'd be this irritated if the Twins wouldn't have brought up Kepler, let him hang around for a bit, then sent him down without really playing him. Am I off base in wondering if this team and organization is completely out of whack?
  9. Brian, I'll defer to your knowledge of baseball, because it definitely exceeds mine by a wide margin. From my outsiders standpoint, this looks like terrible management all the way around. By the way, how many times have we heard how a pitcher, after being shelled, "looked sharp, great bullpen session a day later, ready to go.." only to get shelled the next outing?
  10. But did he go 9 days between starts? How was he doing at AAA before being called up? No, this is not a good outing, but I cannot help but think Molitor put Meyer in a position where he was almost guaranteed to fail.
  11. In what sane world do you bring in a kid who has shown flashes of briliance, yet struggles at times, and have him face one of the fiercest lineups in MLB?
  12. I don't like the fact that Meyer is struggling but I'm really doubting Molitors ability to manage players. If Meyer is a reliever, he needs to be used like a reliever. If he's a starter, he needs to be used like a starter. 9 days without throwing in a game? Molitor looking for an excuse to ship Meyer back to AAA?
  13. Ended well after starting poorly. That sawed off bat was a thing of beauty.
  14. You disappoint me. You're younger than I thought.
  15. See, Santana is an expert. He sort of got off to one side and watched the ball go out. These are the sorts of helpful hints players should be sharing with one another. Or, the veterans, because they've certainly a lot of experience with balls leaving the park.
  16. Sano is going to hurt his neck watching balls fly out of the park in right field.
  17. Okay, I take it back, 2 out hitting is great!!!
  18. Most people don't have "Holy Chip Lohmiller" in their lexicon of sayings.
  19. The real reason Sano shouldn't play right field: Can't risk setting off the New Madrid fault.
  20. I see, Chief was on a bus with Mick's mother...
  21. I think you've gone a bit far with that comparison. The Timberwolves are much closer to home.
  22. Ah, your obsession with the Twins is explained.* *Of course I'm going to blast that hanging curve. It would be un-TwinsDaily of me not to do so.
