    I don't think we'll have any real idea of where a lot of players and coaches fit in until the new President of Baseball Operations and new General Manager are hired. I think (okay, maybe hope) the off-season is interesting.

    Eh, there's also the Host Stove League and Winter Meetings. Along with ongoing front office realignment. And, will Molitor retain his job? Plenty of stuff to keep an eye on.

    I think Mauer needs to retire. Every time he dives for a baseball, I cringe. Joe's brain injury problems are well documented. No matter what, Joe's career is over in a couple of years and I prefer to think that he's able to spend the decades after his career enjoying himself rather than suffering ongoing symptoms from concussions.

    I don't mind on field celebrations. The only celebration I thought was out of hand was the walk-off win a couple of months ago. And that was only because of the reports the celebration continued on in the clubhouse well after the game. Enjoying the win at the moment is one thing. Enjoying the win to the point of disregarding the reality of just how bad the team has been is another.

    I am reluctantly in the "trade Dozeir" camp. He needs to be traded to a contending team, which would be doing him a favor, for a boatload of prospects. Santana is a decent pitcher and might command a decent return. However, I believe he's on the downside and may not bring as much of a return as people think.

    What kind of weird un-American sport are you rattling on about? (Yah, I'm still alive, barely. Systems Admin for a school system + school starting=Long days and no TD)
