  1. Well, according to Molitor, the Twins have built up a ton of character these last few days. Let's hope the Twins stop building character in Anaheim.
  2. I wonder if the FO is trying to find at least mediocre bullpen help. For instance, Boshers strikes me as someone who could be mediocre or, at least, serviceable. Then, after finding those people, look for the top flight talent. I admit, I'm having trouble squaring this idea with Belisle and Breslow being in the bullpen.
  3. Let me toss this out: The more experienced pitchers are being shuttled through because FalVine doesn't trust Molitor with younger pitchers.
  4. This carousel is astonishing. The guys getting off the plane are probably waving to the guys getting on the plane.* *Yes, I'm being charitable by calling it "waving." Family friendly, remember.
  5. I don't know, after Molitor's press conference a couple of days ago, along with Pressly getting whacked around by Houston on day 1, I'm not sure it was wise to bring Pressly in to face Houston again in the same series. Some people want to get back on the horse that just threw them. Others need some time. Which leads me to wonder just how well Molitor really knows his people?
  6. In other words, a typical day on TD. It wouldn't be the internet if things weren't taken out of context, misinterpreted and handles flown off.
  7. I can see the FO trading prospects for people they can control for a two or three years. I don't see the team trading for a rental. I think next year is rental year.
  8. I thought it was funny. Evidently, I wasn't, however.
  9. We're number 1! We're number 1! We're number 1! (a record's a record, right? I'm sort of assuming that's some sort of record)
  10. Wow, I'd like to know the color of the sky of the world you inhabit, because it certainly isn't the planet I'm on...
  11. Wow, did that get out of hand. I hope we're not about to witness another death spiral. I predicted 71 wins for this team this year but, after the Twins got off to a good start, I was hoping for .500. Ah well.
  12. Yeah, Castro is much better at shutting down the running game. I believe Suzuki would still be with the Twins if he was better at controlling the running game.
  13. I see the Twins are trying to pull a Houston. Let's hope it works out.
  14. Okay, Berrios showed some guts with that one.
  15. Taken out of the game for a cut and, evidently, Buxton just wanted to tape it up and keep going. The trainers thought otherwise.
  16. Okay, that curveball that starts 6" outside and ends up in Castro's glove in the middle of the plate is just nasty.
  17. That's a great shot, thank you.
  18. Probably had trouble digesting the loss yesterday.
  19. Shoot, that's easy to answer: None, thank you.
  20. I'd like to see time split between Morris, Torii and LaTroy. I really get a kick out of Morris and his curmudgeonly ways.
  21. I've noticed it also and it seems to happen when there are two spaces rather than just one between words. Not sure about after periods but that's what I'd look at.
  22. Do you think there is any chance Molitor was so locked into using the fresh bullpen arms only if Santana had a short start he was unable to think beyond that possibility? As for the line "guys you feel should get guys out" if I'm one of the pitchers just called up, I'm looking for another team ASAP because Molitor just came out and said he doesn't think you can do the job. (Whether or not they can is not the issue. If it were me, that line wouldn't necessarily endear me to the manager) I would imagine the PR people aren't happy right now. You've got a manager that just made some questionable in game decisions and, after a terrible loss, insulted some players. And how is that remark going to play with agents of FA pitching? That is not the sign of a manager who protects his players.
