  1. Okay, who's the funny guy? The box score shows Mauer hit a home run. Someone hack mlb.com?
  2. Actually, this movie is a biographical sketch of my early years:
  3. I swear, the 2017 Twins are the anti-1987 Twins. They keep it up, they're going to have to beat Houston at home to get into the Series. I was just able to look at the game and the Twins are up 7-0? Gibson is pitching? What's going on and who are these people?
  4. if it's a vehicle of any sort, there's no such thing as "cheap plastic." Although, I will admit imported plastic tends to be much more expensive than domestic plastic.
  5. A bad winter in OK is an average winter in MN. For a California boy, it was quite the eye opener. Frost on the windshield, snow on the car, snow drifts taller than your head. Of course, I was only about 5'6" at the time.
  6. Which game? Technically, the game yesterday counts as "over." Unless you're going to get all technical and point out the thread is for the game today.
  7. I lived in OK for a year, Stillwater, to be exact. (This was during the Carter presidency) It was my first experience with a real winter. Snow drifts, cold, etc. Granted, the snow didn't stick around but man, that wind, with nothing to stop it, chewed right through you. Fun times.
  8. June, in Phoenix? Normally, it's nice and cool...compared to July and August....
  9. Considering you're probably sitting as you type, not sure why you bring this up.
  10. And the debut was outstanding! Good job, Dave. As a side note: I'd like to claim your truck was really unique, but, the sad reality is that it was one of a crowd of leprous vehicles rolling down MN roads of yesteryear.
  11. Shane Robinson? The Shane Robinson? Not much bat, excellent defensive outfielder?
  12. Yeah, that's pretty good line.
  13. Shoot, if Mejia can induce triple plays, might as well walk the first three batters and then pitch to the fourth. Save some wear and tear on the old arm.
  14. I believe the last time I saw the Twins turn a triple play was against Cleveland and Al Newman was playing.
  15. I was unable to watch the triple play. Did Bremer survive the call?
  16. It won't truly be Hatcher until Rosario dives for a ball jumps up, can't find the ball and then realizes the ball wound up under his hat that came off. (I think it was Hatcher that made that classic play. It was hilarious)
  17. I was seeing all this stuff about Pujols and 600 home runs and thought it was cool that he had regained his stroke. Then, I look at his numbers and wow, that's a lot of money for very little.
  18. Consistency is never a bad thing, right?
  19. I'm spoiled living in CA. Games comes on shortly after I get home, end by 8 pm or so and away I go. This 7:10 pm start time is a drag.
  20. You questioned what a sense of humor was. Naturally, I assumed you were from the FBI and pulled up this clip of you in action.
  21. I think you're implying Mr. Breslow has an endless supply of pitches purchased from ACME. Right?
