  2. Good job, Van! Registered an 11 on the Weird-0-Meter and the scale only goes to 10!
  3. Duct tape, wing, some assembly required.
  4. LaMarre keeps missing the cutoff man, he'll be right there with them.
  5. Dear Mr. Gibson, I am writing to encourage you to continue to develop your fascist tendencies. Sincerely, "Crash" Davis
  6. LaMarre struck out, bench him! Trade him for a sack of potatoes and a potato to be named later!
  7. Where's the fun in that? Since I cannot argue with the umpire, I must argue with those who are available!
  8. I'd buy that argument but I saw a couple of plays in the game against the Rays that reminded me more of Grossman when he started with the team than the one we saw last year. It is what it is. Fun to argue about, though.
  9. I'm promoting LaMarre simply because, right now, he's the hot hand. Also, I believe a ball got by Mr. Grossman last night that Kepler, or, perhaps, LaMarre would have caught. I believe it's up to the Manager to identify the hot bat and use it until that bat cools down. Obviously, this is not done with players that are considered regulars but, I don't consider Grossman to be a regular. My biggest frustration with Mr. Molitor is that he seems to make the conventional decisions that are safe and won't be questioned. I see very little innovation is Molitor's approach to the game.
  10. Thank you for putting me in a position to defend Mr. Molitor.* With roster spots at a premium the "LOOGY" pitcher has become a luxury most teams cannot afford these days. Lefties have to have the ability to get out right-handed batters these days or they, most likely, are going to be looking for another job. *do I really need to mention that was sarcasm?
  11. I would understand Molitor batting for Kepler if the other bats were working. Right now, though, seems like a bad decision.
  12. Hummph. Sounds like another aging vet looking for a bit more time in the sun.
  13. 5. Secret of Success: I have been successful at almost everything I’ve done. I will give everyone the secret free of charge. If at first you don’t succeed… redefine what success is. You’re welcome. ------------------- Or, one can always not try so as to avoid failure.
  14. I'm looking forward to the Yankees because the team this year is definitely not the team of last year.
  15. I know it's early, but it's shaping up to be a fun season.
  16. Really so did I! we'll ignore the minor fact I live in CA.
  17. My big takeaway from this game: Twins bullpen > Indians bullpen.
  18. Really? I've seen some posts that lead me to believe otherwise.
  19. It's my version of a "double dog dare."
  20. Honestly, even I'm not crazy enough to think LaMarre is anything more than "the hot hand." I know LaMarre will cool off, but, for now, Molitor needs to roll with it and when it's done, LaMarre is on the bench or in Triple A.
  21. I can't really argue that. Okay, yes, I can, but, only because that's what I do.
  22. This was a great game. The Twins just went toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in baseball over 16 innings and came out on top. Good deal. That was a game for the ages.
