    I'm not sure what's going on with the Twins. For some reason, after the big win in PR, they seem to be a bit flat. While watching the Yankees, I'm going to be like the little old lady who spies a naked man...hands over my eyes but peeking through fingers while declaiming "I just can't look."

    The bullpen is just bound and determined to give runs back. Someone needs to tell the pitchers that it's not a a 2 for one deal. Rather, it should be a no for one deal.

    Okay, I think I just spotted something the powers-that-be should have thought of: I think it was pretty much a given that Hughes would have short start today, which means the Twins will use up a good chunk of the bullpen before they head to New York. A bullpen I can see the Twins needing against New York. And with all the games to be played over the next two or three weeks, this seems like setting yourself up to over-stress the bullpen.

    He's out there because he's collecting a good size paycheck. I keep hoping Hughes will turn things around, but, this is the third year of that hope and it's looking a bit hopeless.
